Racing An AE86 Down Akina In 5.03 | 150HP 170NM

I have been driving this AE86 for a little over a year now on Assetto Corsa, to hopefully one day be able to get my own in real life. I have been dying to get one in real life but day by day i get more scared i wont be able to.
Thought it would be fun to start making videos about it, while i make other videos about building the minibike that saved my life. If you see this, Thank you..

Typically, for valid times, sim racers start at the "starting line" for the Akina 2022 map which is where the cones are and where the in-game timer starts rather than starting from the "pit lane" area. This can be selected at the start screen of content manager or with the default in game menu. Also being transparent about what compound tires you are running is always a good idea.

If we don't regulate our start and finish points then our times lose value and meaning. If this is just for fun then why post your time? Choosing to start farther back and getting a speed advantage on the start of the lap time is the same as moving the finish line closer to yourself.@@Pure2Bpure

@@SmallPotato95 Just because we started out wrong doesn't mean me should continue with incorrect procedures. Some WR runs are being debated to this day over their creditability or legitimacy. In some of these, so called "WR" runs, we saw players starting from the factory "pits" starting area while other players literally backed their cars up to the edge of the map to gain a increase distance to the start of the timer and in turn a higher vehicle speed at the start of the run. This is not honest, fair or legitimate.

Man, the description hit me hard, because it's the exact same for me. I've been wanting an 86 since I was 6 years old, I'm now 26 and even though I'm improving and working harder year after year, that dream seems to be getting further away every time. Still, I don't lose hope that one day I will finally get one. Plan B is a GT86 though 😂

good driving dude, the description hits hard lmfao, would love a Ae86, but too scared that I'd wreck an absolute masterpiece, once I get my hands on a job though, the plan is a GT86/GR or a s2k ap1/ap2 as I've gotten some pretty nice hillish narrow countryroads around me, still scared I'd wreck an absolute masterpiece of a car, but less scared then i would be if i had a Ae86 haha

Keyboard is so hard but I hope one day to be fast like this. Im in the 5:20's on akina but only with a Civic Type R 2017 or 2023 😅
