Our community needs this wonderful place far more than we need another faceless, soulless industrial park ❤

Like Riverside, Irwindale will fade into memory as part of the once great racing heritage of Southern California.

Everything in Crapfornia is going bye bye.

The thing is. When you close a race track, the racing in the area doesn't stop. It just goes to the street. And with what Irwindale had that other tracks in the area cannot do. You can guess how that will end...

It’s not part of the removal of automobile, fossil, fuel, consuming cars, and culture. You know it’s gotta be part of that. By 2035 you won’t even have any more gas powered cars unless they keep trying to restore them and maintain the remaining gas powered cars, but they might even entirely stop selling gasoline and every gas station will be turned into whateverdevelopment they’re gonna do at this one’s glorious raceway

Out of all times when takeovers are at an all time high they decide to shut down the only racetrack in Southern California? Make it make sense…..

Moving from the track to the 605. About to get more dangerous.

Nascar loves this track. It's so amazing and iconic. So why is it closing lol?!?
@Lionlover66616 сағат бұрын
Because the land under it is worth a lot of money. It's the problem for a lot of small tracks today. It takes a lot of willpower and sheer love for the sport to ignore the massive bag of money that developers will give for that.

I remember how strange it felt to take an elevator to the "spotters stand" up on the roof. Quite a difference from climbing up the ladder on an old semi-trailer at Mesa Marin. Irwindale even had someone in the elevator push the button for you, classy! Always good to see my long time friend Tim. Never forget the scrapbook you brought one day during F9. Thanks for the memories.
