I’ve done track days for 20 years. We used to pitch up on our road bikes, remove our mirrors and registration plates and off we go. Now it’s all expensive track bikes - how things change. You were lucky staying upright having been rear-ended - good skills. The intermediate group was always a laugh. Made up of people who don’t want to be in the beginners but really aren’t good enough for inters, and people who don’t want to be the slowest person in the fast group. We called it the mad group!
