My new small racing pigeon loft is really taking shape, given that this is the second full day spent on the build, i think another half day and we should have all the racing pigeons in there and getting the ready to fly!
This pigeon loft is 2m High x 1.8M deep x 2.4M wide

Nicely designed ... snakes can crawl thru that grill and enter your loft ... if you can place a bright orange color on your drop ... birds see colors very well ... can’t wait to see birds in action ... 😯

Kurt I know it might be a bit to much effort after all that hard work put in but I would suggest on putting sliding door on the side entry and a front release hatch that slides up instead of having doors swing out and on the top bobs entry a slide panel to close the trap entry when not in use and open when pigeons come home

Alright MANEY LOFT's fair play for getting ur loft up so quick its a perfect loft for what you need till ur ready for ur big racing loft, the youngsters and birds u have to bring in2 that loft should be flying in a few days after you put them in2 the loft most of the bird haven't been out at all, so u now what ur doing like i said to u b4 LOOKING 4WARD TO WATCHING THE NEXT STEP OF "THEFLOCK" learning and FLYING AROUND THE NEW LOFT, BEST OF LUCK K., MANEY LOFT's ill b watching everything and looking 4ward to all the new videos, from DUBLIN IRELAND

Wow looks Awesome! Just wondering why you didnt put that fibreglass floor for inside main loft, then you wouldn't have to scrape floor. Some people think to much airflow can effect race birds form or feather quality?

I want to but its a cost thing the frp grating is very expensive. Its amazing stuff but

@@ManeyPigeons you might only have to put it directly under perches where most the shit lands. Maybe have a slide n out tin sheet underneath to catch the shit on, pull it out once a week, spray it down slide it back in. Definitely doing it in my next loft, all that dust n shit not good for ya lungs.

Yellow landing board would stand out more amongst the green fields and compliments your wattle concept. Also, I read a technical report many years ago about pigeon eyesight as a means of homing instinct, it concluded that they see yellow very easily from the sky and pick at maize

By the way Kirk, good job mate, another coat of paint and it’s done. One of the other uTube pigeon guys, Mike, at Rocky Ridge Kennel and Loft, painted his wire aviary in black paint, it made viewing the birds so much clearer

Well done Kurt, cool looking loft. Love the front section with your ideas of the birds having a bath and their droppings using the fibre glass sheet as the base. Plenty of Sun exposure and ventilation is an absolute paramount to a loft of any kind...this one seem to be built with full of them. Good thinking there 99 :-)...like you've said it...can't wait to see your birds in there. Take some rest..where on earth you find time to do all of these in such a short period of time...Fantastic progress...thumbs up mate.

I feel very strong winds might tip it over...put braces at the back... also paint the landing board bright red or blue....and your landing board need to slightly slope forward to prevent water going into the loft.

Might be a good idea to put some extra ply on the aviary roof/landing bored so they don't hurt there feet or slam into it . Other than that it looks great. When you build your big loft in the future you can use this loft as a stock loft

Great job... Promising... May I say that the plastic grate floor it seems as the opening are a bit big and you may encounter snakes and mice... You have thought of that I am sure you are a great designer and engineer looking forward to moving your pigeon and start flying.. It has been long time

That's nice but you got a lot of property your loft should be should be. 100 feet longer, your good birds will breed a ton of great flyers win a ton of race's for you, a lot of breeders in U.K. have massive lofts and your property huge but it's a nice loft good luck but i know you will good bigger in time.

Also some horizontal long perch panels in the inside of the aviary part so they can bath and sit in the sun, and a little power battery box on the side to run the loft light and M1 benzing clock that way you can check the times and disconnect the panel to take to the club without having to enter the loft

pretty much all the young birds and also the splits in with the high flyers, that gives us about 20 to start with and then another 12 babies from the round in the nests now, so im aiming for 30 :P

It’s a shame the gap for where the pigeons drop in isn’t a bit bigger for the birds to drop in other than that Maney it’s great 👍🏻

Maney if you were racing from that shed and you had a few pigeons come together in a particular race like three or four then it might take the birds longer to get inside the pigeon loft for them to get clocked in and then you will lose a bit of time because when I race sometimes I have three or four come together and as you now every second counts

Ahm. The advantages of the floor, is To visualize the "Droppings" or to " monitor" the droppings. .. then and ther, a stool is to become a determinant of the condition. The texture wil tell you so... ...
