This was the Ganus Family Loft Auction. Our first ever live auction we attended and also won our first ever authentic Ganus Family Loft Bird straight from the breeders themselves. We are very happy we had gotten one straight from the Ganus Family to add to our loft collection of birds. Ganus Family Loft is like the God Father of all major winners winning in alot of One Loft Races, and so therefore to have one of his birds to work with is gonna bring an exciting new year of breeding anticipation. Sorry I accidentally deleted alot of videos from my iPhone from the auction event to make room. So I only had a few clips to share. All the birds was amazing, alot of very popular and highly desired birds, and alot of high bidders bidding. We were fortunate to have gotten atleast one to come home with us. Though this bird was$1300 this bird was still among the cheapest bird. Alot of other birds went for $2k minimum and above . We were very lucky GFL was willing to list some for an open bid.

Though the bird was $1300, it was still one of the cheaper birds there at the time, most bidders was bidding on alot of the new bloodlines, Thank God. So hopefully this bird will be a great addition to our loft. 😊

Yeah, racing pigeons is expensive. This was one of the cheaper ones there that night. Most birds were $2k and up, some were $15k and up. We were lucky that most people had their eyes on different birds and let us have this one.

I was fortunate most bidders had their eyes on other birds such as Little Miss Nikki, or Kittel or something like that. this one was probably a bit too closely inbred for others likings, but it’s the only one I could afford. My wife says bid on any bird but you can’t go above $1500. I said “ok!!” And yes it happened 😊

So how does the ofr cost per birds how is it set up as to at what age do you enter your birds how did the people who does own pigeon win award what is a knockout and ace can someone purchase birds and entry then in the ofr

You can breed or buy birds at about 6-9weeks of age and send them in into any OLR you choose. Every OLR is different, every course is different, rules, payouts, entry fees, perch fees are all different. Every handler is different. Choose the race that meets your budget and the payout you would like to receive if your birds perform good. Some OLR’s pay out more places then others. The best place to ask questions is on a Facebook racing pigeon forum. You will get lots of opinions, but nothing beats your very own self experience in handling and caring for the birds yourself, and learn as you progress. Good luck 👍

Best option is to buy from well known fanciers who has been having success in the OLR you choose to race in, if you have a good budget to start with. If not you can start asking for birds from your local fanciers.
