Oh man those Polish grizzles look Great- although I could be a little biased. James you called that black baby a "spread" - does that just mean no other color? Is the term recessive only used for the color red? Hey that little TUFF guy is coming up.

Thanks Jeff! The spread gene takes the color of the band at the end of the tail, whether that’s a blue or red bird, and spreads it across the entire body. So on blue colored birds the black tail band color covers the entire body’s resulting in a black bird. Spread masks patterns. Recessive generally refers to whether one copy of a given gene (allele) will be expressed over another copy of said gene.

They're all looking great, James! Glad the little one is doing so well Was going to suggest FixaFlat but I like Locktite :) Have you already shipped birds to the Black Gold OLR? I'm saving up for next year.

Cuevas Classic, Jerry’s OLR are other good races based in Texas. More challenging courses though imo are in CA; I definitely want to try one of those next year. Keep up the good work!!

@@RFRP ... Yup, Cali is a toughy, especially if they fly an east course over the Sierra Nevada Mtns after releasing in Nevada. That would be a OLR in NorCal/Bay Area though.

I did many years ago gave up my birds in the 90s married and kid's LoL But I did find they would prefer feathers than straw it only took 5 minutes pick out good one's when having a smoke 🚬 😉 just let the air get to them

PS ask your partner take them 50 miles ring when she lets them go then clock times After 3-4 months do same See what time they are doing you should be happy 😊

Our small OLR team did really well for 2023! We had 2 money winners at 350 and 400 mile finals in two of the bigger races in the US.
