The #7 of Roger Shawn flipping through the fence at 7:11 happened at Waterford Speedbowl in September of 1969. That very car was recently restored and returned to the track for the first time in September of 2024.

This reminds my of an old neighbor, Pat Cornell. He got blasted in the crossover in a figure 8 race. At Sun Valley, now known as Anderson Speedway in Anderson Indiana. I happened to be there that night, and saw him leave the track in an ambulance.
