Just found this channel and plan to stick around. The placement of the methanol jets is pretty genius! Like a dummy I listened to the instructions and put the nozzle near the throttle body. Planning to add a second and considering pre-innercooler as the primary then the one at the throttle a secondary. Idk though...

Very well done I need to use method one I need to dine on my car first. Extremely highly modified 280Z. Also running nitrous oxide. My power band is from 3500 to 7000 my shift point drops are roughly 1500 each but they're not all the same, I am about to use an st1200 lenco 5 speed transmission and figuring out gear ratios of each gear ratio. Now that I know some facts I can figure out better gearing

I already knew this, but I watched anyway, because I like your videos. This one was no exception. Well done. I will add some engines got pretty atypical characteristics compared to most American old school NA V8s.... I had a 125cc two stroke with removed exhaust valve, which made what narrow powerband it already had, even narrower. Fastest performance was had by shifting not at redline, but way after. In fact long after the markings on the tachometer had run out.... Wasnt pretty but it took it like a champ. Second example is my turbo diesel which like a few other, actually get the powerband shifted lower in the revrange when tuning. An adjustment of the factory shiftpoint down by about 500rpm got better performance.

It's funny I was already using the spicers calculator to figure out what gears I need for the St 1200. I know where the car starts pulling and also where it seems to fade out without the Dyno chart. I know I can run over 9,000 rpm. To do this job better I should run to the local dyno

I've used method 2 with my G8 when it was stock. Intake and exhaust IIRC. Everyone wanted their G8 to shift at 6500 but if didn't make any sense since the HP peak was at like 5800 stock IIRC. I played with the shift points (in the tune) and went 13.1 @ 104 IIRC. Again... I say IIRC bcuz this was 2014. She is way faster now tho. Great video. And Capitol Raceway sucks now BTW...

I've heard not great things about Capitol too. It's really unfortunate. Down here my closest track is like 2.5-3 hours away. But at least it's 2.5 hours of easy, traffic-free driving.

My car makes peak torque at 4500 rpm and peak hp at 5500.. rite now my car shifts at 5100 and drops to 4500 rite into peak torque. It's a 3500 stall non lockup so 1-2 and 2-3 drop is identical. I have another governor valve that should get my shifts to 57-5800 rpm. My hp curve is pretty much flat from 5200-5600 hundred and doesn't start to dramatically fall off til about 5900.. will the 57- 5800 shifts lower my et much? The car has been a best of 8.33 in the 1/8 in its current configuration..

Sent you an email under the pseudonym Math & Physics, and wouldn't you know. Next attempt to log in, I was locked out. So hm wants to send me a code, to ID my phone, as a means to unlock the account. Thing is, I did nothing to violate TOS, so it's a disposable acct, now. Do you have an interest in the information relayed? Just realized you're building an R&D shop, so I would imagine a safe(r) oxidizer would be a premium research platform.
