What a beautiful end to a hard day's work, complete with full rainbow! Such a nice way to be introduced to more members of your family, Dillion and his lovely new bride, Mia. What's better than super cute dogs, super delicious hotdogs, a lovely dinner prepared with ordinary salt 😂 and SUPER HOT coals to wind down the day with a sauna. Your family is so beautiful; you are blessed! ❤❤❤❤🐩

It is a delightful feeling to sit in a sauna, waves of steam roll over you, you whip yourself with a juniper broom, and outside the windows there is the sound of rain, or the rustle of snow! And then, you run out of the sauna, so steamed, warmed up and rush into the lake, or into a previously prepared hole in the ice of the lake, plunge into the water and suddenly realize that life is beautiful and amazing, and that you are still young and full of energy , although in your passport you are far over 60 years old ... And then sitting at the table, over a cup of fragrant, hot tea, you tell all sorts of amazing, adventurous stories from your life and from the life of your friends .. Wonderful!!!

The view from on top of the roof was spectacular and BEAUTIFUL! It's too bad you don't have the lumber and time to add a 2nd story to take advantage of those views. I love seeing how your entire family works together and plays together. But come on, give Tanya a break! Naps are essential. LOL! Thank you for including the sound of the rain falling and hitting the porch and roof. It has been since last year that I have heard the sound of rain here. Thank you for always sharing your beautiful life, family, values, and blessed events. Congratulations to Dylan and his future bride, I know they will be extremely happy. (I'm looking forward to seeing you all with more grandbabies that we get to see!). God Bless you, your family, friends, and loved ones.

Good Morning Gale, Tanya and Family - This video started off perfect, with Stella doing a belly flop in the puddle of water. Gorgeous rainbow when you got to the mountain cabin. I can see what you meant about racing the rain. The view from the mountain cabin out over the lake is just amazing. I can see why you like this place so much. As always, thank you for sharing your adventures with us. Hope you have a great week end. Stay Safe. Kind Regards, Randy in Arizona (107 degrees and raining yesterday - The Arizona Sauna).

Good evening Gale......That new roof is completed in record time. You have an excellent assistant in Dylan..........Stella, Stella, Stella.....I think she was wading in the water looking for her snow. And then she lays down in the water. I could not stop laughing at this week's Stella antics. I have a suggestion for a video....clips of nothing but Stella having fun and getting hugs.......I hope that beautiful rainbow appears again the day of the wedding....

Tonjia, those dining chairs looked soooo comfortable as a day-bed. Can’t understand what that hasn’t caught on a lot more. Once again, the changed scenery is jaw-dropping week to week up there. Amazing how much difference just another couple of hands on deck can make to progress. Theres so much to think about with your material. The orderly way Gil sets out work and the methodology of tackling repetitive tasks is very instructive. The multiple uses for snow shovels. The importance of grabbing the long handled shovel before the newbies 🤣. Congratulations on the upcoming wedding. We’re planning ours for the end of August too. I think a cabin restoration is a more straightforward task! Peace.

You and Dylan really work well together. Speed roofing! Maybe he has helped in projects over the years but there is a silent choreography between you anticipating what needs to be done next and also the spatial awareness, especially when taking off the roofing sheets. Impressive again is all I can say. Mind you, there is a vested interest for him if the wedding is going ahead up there. Can you PM a location for that site - I would love to Google it if it has been mapped. I have been looking at the topography and other things of Alaska and it is fascinating. The sauna looked great and I don't know if it as much part of your culture as it is in Finland - where I was once at a business meeting and was invited to conduct the meeting in the sauna! It is certainly a good way of just being with family and conversing - my summer house in the garden functions like that and we use it after a hot tub session! And have a pipe occasionally.

Dylan & Mai didn't have to go to AK for Mai's first sauna experience, they could have stayed home in TX & walked out their front door to get the same effect (we're suffering under a very long very brutal heat wave & as I write this it's 96f where I am, but 101 up in Dallas!) But then, they wouldn't have had that stupendous view, of course! Fingers crossed you guys get everything finished in time for the wedding, it will be spectacular!

HiHo From Sarasota Florida! Once again, an amazing feat of de- and re-construction of the roof. It seemed to go MUCH faster and easier when there were two dedicated men working to complete the job before the rain!! And, of course, there's always coffee and good things to eat that go along with the work, thanks to "the women folk!" (Not dismissing the food and coffee, Tanya! I know you're such a competent person that anything you choose to engage in turns out better for your efforts!!) This was the first time I've seen the sauna in use since the video showing the building and construction of the building, benches/seat, heater and shower. Man, I'd love to have a sauna in MY yard! Not needed nor as comforting in Florida, where the temps stay warm. But, getting rid of achy muscles works best in a sauna and/or hot shower. Most of all, the video, once again, shows how loving and comforting you all are and how the cabin really makes a great place to come home to. Peace to you all! Leslie Ann & Fred
