He's Europe's Secretariat. An amazing, fabulous, great, great horse. Like Secretariat, it would have been heaven if he could have raced at 4 and it is a shame that the economics of racing mean that the greatest horses are retired just as we are coming to know them.. I wish he had come to the US.

Both Sea The Stars and Frankel have Urban Sea in their Blood. Sea The Stars ( Dam ) and Frankel's ( parental grand dam). Urban Sea (chestnut mare by Mizwaki) won l'Arc. And is one of only two mares (dams) to Bred two Epsom DERBY winners.

His Arc win is still one for the ages. One of the greatest collaborations between horse and jockey I've ever seen that day at Longchamp. How Sea The Stars was able to overcome such horrid traffic problems in that race and still get up to beat the likes of Youmzain, Cavalryman, Conduit, Dar Re Mi, Stacelita, Fame and Glory, Vision d'Etat, etc....., all class horses in their right, was absolutely amazing.

He won the arc beating nothing of any substance.. stacelita was a mug and youmzain was beaten a couple races later by 14 lengths behind harbinger.. yes sea the stars is the second best horse of all time but he cannot hold a torch to Frankel and if baaeed races on he will also pass him

I love this horse. I think maybe Sea The Stars is among the greatest horses that ever lived. At the same time, I'm an American and I felt cheated when his owners chose not to bring him to the Breeders Cup.

Sea The Stars was the first race horse to win the 2,000 G, The Derby, L'Arc, in the one year. The other Greats never won them in the one year.

There are never any American horses at the big European events because (in my opinion) American horses unfortunately are accustomed to raceday drugs and cannot compete equally with their drug-free European counterparts. If the US does what the US racing public wants - getting rid of all the lasix, steroids, painkillers and other various medical treatments that are weakening our Thoroughbreds - then maybe we will be able to send our horses to compete in Europe.

3 dislikes equals LOSERS lol Who wouldn't Know a Great Trainer. Mr. Oxx remember Trained another l'Arc winner in 2000 Hero "Sinndar" by Grand Lodge for H.H. The Aga Khan. Sinndar wasn't just fashionable ( top, top blood ) with Breeders so last I seen was standing in France at € 7,500 per foal. I feel should Sinndar have got the correct mare / type / blood. Sinndar would have sired a very good race horse.

sea of the stars and zenyatta would have been magic who knows what would have happened on the day...but if zenyatta was riden like mike smith rode her on the day sea the stars would have one by 5 or more
