Good show lads.the drf will tell alot.the two i like in the turners are koktail divin and was impressed the way kawaboomga for willie stayed on well.i think 50/1 is cracking price for william munny.the king of prs for gavin could be on a good mark off 137 maybe a grand annual .i still like sortudo for willie in the bumper just chinned at leopardstown

Great show I'm already on a few of those horses mentioned Supreme Romeo Coolio 20/1 and Salvator Mundi 8/1 Turners Novice Hurdle Potters Charm 22/1 and Kaid D'authie 25/1 but went in again at 50/1 Brown Advisory Majborough 12/1 and 16/1

My take on the Kaid D'aithe / Koktail Divin race was that Kaid D had more speed so Turners and Koktail D looked more a stayer so could go Bartlett. Problem is JP bought The New Lion so would he run two in the Turners. If Koktail D gets an entry in Tipp in that race Allaho / M Indo ran in then he'll go Bartlett. Same colours as Indo and Monalee that all ran in it

@@Imastatman tbh The Mathematics Of Betting means betting each way @ 3/1 can be a good bet if believing it's almost certain to place. Betting is all about making an overall profit, so getting back the vast majority on the bet can help. I'd have had more of a problem with a run-or-not 10/1 each way ante-post bet. Because it's doubling the stake (doubling the risk) for a fraction of the odds. I have in the past had day of race each way bets @ as short as 5/2. But my race by race strike rate is probably above 50% anyway. Not that unusual for me to back six horses all win only in a race - which many punters don't understand. Any betting strategy is a good one if it works for that particular punter.

Where does Dan get his "finishing speed" of 112% from? My form book has the closing sectional 106% for salvator Mundi's race. Yes, we do know he can jump better, but that was in a Maiden Hurdle while making all. Even with the hood on last year he got very much on his toes before the Triumph. Can he make all in the Supreme? For me he has a poor temperament for a Cheltenham favourite, especially as his form is a long way behind Romeo Coolio's. If Elliott is in good form going into Cheltenham I can see the latter starting favourite. EDIT: I suppose the 112% could be the horse (coming from further back) whereas my closing sectional could be the leader. But even so, the form isn't anything. He might be showing a lot more at home, he might settle better, he might jump better, he might run better from the front... But there are a lot of mights for a horse at such a short price that needs to improve massively to win even an average renewal of the Supreme. Let's get this straight, if anyone is backing Mundi - at those odds - it is nothing to do with the horse. Just blind faith in the trainer.

What he meant was the likes of Ballyburn and The Jukebox Man may well stay 3 miles, but they would not be sure to stay the Gold Cup trip next year. Whereas although Dancing City may not as yet have the class of those two, everything about him suggests a progressive profile and a real stayer.
