My grandparents came here from the Netherlands legally in the 50s after WW2,so I'm here legally lol. BTW I love Indian food! I can't name a dish I haven't liked (so far, I've even had Nepalese). In my experience Indians are usually quaint, kind people who came here for a better chance at life just like my grandparents did. It's no different. Homogenous, would be an appropriate term for them I believe. In such a society, being different and standing apart is usually not seen as a good thing.
