Of the 3, Ms. Golden's actions irked me the most, because she failed to relate as a woman when forcing Ms. Hudson to undress in front of a man, but expected Ms.Hudson to empathize with her as a mother. Imagine being so conditioned to this type of behavior that when it happens to you, you don't really get that upset because it's considered "normal"? That was me when I was a kid going to the movies with my fathers' family. My father drove down a neighborhood street and I remember seeing a a white family sitting on the porch of their home. There were about 7 of them and I noticed them looking at my father's vehicle as it passed with peculiar looks on their respective faces. I didn't think much of it, but 15 minutes into the movie (Godzilla vs Megalon no less) a theater employee accompanied by 2 county police officers approached our seats and engaged my father in conversation. They told him I needed to accompany them because I was identified by a family who was burglarized by several black males, one of whom looked like me! They said they needed the family to confirm my identity. My father was incensed, but said we'd comply. When we tried to leave, they stopped my father and said I had to accompany them alone, but they changed up when my father questioned why he could not come with his son, who was a minor. We were put into a patrol car and driven down the same street as before. They literally stopped in front of the family's house and treated me like I was part of a police lineup, which I suddenly realized, I was! I was fortunate that day because they either said they weren't sure it was me or they definitively told the officers it wasn't me. Those officers conveyed that to my father, who replied, "I know. I can tell you I know because my son is 11 years old, but he was a baby the last time I saw him. His mother and I agreed he would spend this summer with me to get to know this side of his family. He's been with my wife and family for 3 days and doesn't even live in this state!" The remainder of the ride back to the theater was silent with not so much as an apology. Fighting stereotypes matters, and it costs absolutely nothing to treat people with fairness, dignity, and kindness. And finally, a little common sense goes a long way. Apologies for the long post.

@mo-em1ke Жыл бұрын
Lol, this only males you mad because this is the same propaganda rubbish thats been pushed on your entire life demonizing white people as if they are all evil. What you should really be mad at is modern slavery. Did you know theres an estimated 20 million slaves in 2023? And most of them are black slaves, owned by other blacks in Africa. Africa has the highest modern slavery rate in the world, more numbers than the entire atlantic slave trade. Get mad about that, thats a real issue.

Although these are reposts of past posted videos they are worth people watching again and for the new subscribes to see them. They send messages we all need to be aware of as this discrimination continues every day. Discrimination not only to people of color but to anyone different that what we chose to accept. We need to teach our children we are all equal and the best way is through our speech and our actions.

I can relate to all of these stories. What I do desire is to see some type of continuation of the story because knowing the intensity will continue to create more interest. Your stories do teach people the pitfalls of being prejudices and narrow mindedness. Yes I look forward to hearing more stories I also understand these stories aren’t easy and must be well thought out in order for each story to continue to hold true interest. I want to thank you so much for even attempting to teach a lesson that no one ever wants to really learn, especially those of the older mindset. You are a true benefit to the literary community please don’t stop.

I am a software engineer in India. And I promise if some punk dared to ask me to work as a janitor, I sure would have kicked his ass right then and there. How demeaning. This video shows us Indians in such poor light, without self respect. This is just not who we are.

Sometimes starting lowly to plan for bigger goals is good. Many lessons are learnt. The humble has greater future
@AyushmanAdhikary2 жыл бұрын
@@francisbraimoh6254 I agree that humility pays off in terms of things learnt. Actually I firmly do believe that if curiosity is the wick in the candle of knowledge, then humility is the wax that keeps it burning. But based on my past experience, I certainly know that humility doesn't always guarantee a brighter future. My indefinite humility was interpreted as weakness and my hope of being recognised for my efforts, prolonged the duration of the oppression I endured. Well I do agree that I learnt something. "Have the wits to figure out if the one who's judging you has the ability, will and conscience to do it. " Though I did walk out silently, I just ensured that my grudge, the resultant of the bullying I endured, reached the right ears. 😁
