From the news article about this: Gina Aiello was degrading McDonald’s employees at the drive-thru window. Luis Aceves is the man who confronted the woman in the video. He said the woman exploded at employees over a soda. Mr. Aceves said, “Employees were already explaining that someone was cussing at them through the drive-thru window. We overheard her, too. For me, it was like alright, that’s none of my business, but then she started telling people "who are you, look at where you work, look at what you’re wearing, you’re working at McDonald’s." Ms. Aiello worked at the dental office of Dr. Jack Ohanesian, DDS, and is now no longer employed there; she was terminated immediately. The Central Valley newspaper tried to reach Mrs. Aiello through her phone number to get her side of the story, but she did not pick up the call.

Why Does she use the word “Mexican” as if it’s an insult? I swear it’s a culture of narcissism.
@Living_Dead_Girrl11 ай бұрын
Welcome to how certain minority groups have had their own culture turned into a “slur,” dehumanizing someone by calling them “a Jew” or “a Black” - in order to get around saying socially unacceptable slurs. Every single day the world turns their back and says nothing about turning our ethnicity and culture in a slur, and I assure you, they know their grammar just fine. I’ve been dealing with this my entire life, and now worse than I could ever imagine. Devastating to see it happening to more marginalized communities, because its so insidious that you don’t no longer feel comfortable or safe discussing your identity with anyone outside of it. A human being isn’t “a black” or “a Jew” - we’re *people* . Proper grammar = Jewish, or Jewish person. And unless a person’s ethnicity or race is the subject of conversation, their identity shouldn’t casually be brought up at all - unless its too defend that individual against bigotry. It’s a culture of dehumanization by a society that still places Whiteness above all else. When people see injustice, they must shut it down every single time. Silence is violence. Tired of being the only one fighting for myself, my people, and all other minorities because I can’t stand idly by. Its not humanly possible for me to do nothing - and that’s why I can’t relate to the majority who do just that: nothing. It’s why I’ll never be safe. Our society’s become selective about who deserves to be treated like a human being, because everybody’s buying into certain conspiracies now. The oldest hatred’s the oldest trick in the book: scapegoat the vulnerable so the people target them instead of the real oppressor. Everyone refuses to learn this fact staring them straight in the eyes, and on the pages of the history books being heavily censored as we speak. Why’s everyone silent about Holocaust books being banned the most? That’s the real terror. Headlines focus on the surface-level distraction - the banning of LGBT books, while they ban books about black slavery, Jim Crowe, and blacklist every book authored by a Holocaust survivor and most Jewish authors. Its like they borrowed the book ban lists from the Third Reich verbatim. Books about humanism, psychology, authors like Freud and Maslow. Its exactly the same.

It's mind-boggling that the internet has existed for about three decades now, and we've all seen hundreds (thousands?) of people exposed by their bad behavior lose their jobs as a result. A few CEOs have even been been forced to resign (Who can forget Uber's CEO bullying his Uber driver?!)... Yet people still brazenly act like fools out in public, seemingly unaware they are putting their livelihoods on the line: The ability to pay their mortgages, car payments, kids' school tuition, etc (and often, bringing about the end of a marriage) all because of a few seconds of ugly behavior! It's almost impossible to believe these people feel so entitled that they are blind to how karma works. It's bizarre, and fascinating at the same time!
