You can't force boys to get haircuts if it's not part of their culture, everyone has their own hairstyle long, short, curly, dreadlocks, or no hair at all we're still the same person and no one not even Sgt. The police officers you see hanging around the school would absolutely not be the ones enforcing dress code, that's more of an administrator thing or something that simply reported to an administrator. The police officers are there for serious emergencies, plus some little stuff here and there. They most likely would not know the whole dress code for that matter, as most of them move schools often, so they couldn't memorize each school's dress code.

When I was in foster care they cut off my sister's and my hair, because they said black girls shouldn't have long hair like white girls. This was in 1970 I was just turning 6 and my older sisters use to my sure our hair was taken care of. Our hair was past our shoulders. She took the scissors under each ponytail not caring that the hair would be uneven or that she was cutting our scalp. Schools act like the afro and braids are something new. The remedy to this kind of assault should be criminal with civil punishment; along with loss of employment. There should be a database of these individuals so that no state in the union will rehire them. Of course this goes against systemic racism with built-in police immunity; so it's not likely to occur. My brother had really long dreads when he was 3 to 13 years old. It was all the way to his posterior. He had to cut in after his birthday back in July, because of the school he was going too. They didn’t want boys having long hair. It’s hard seeing him like that for me because I was so used to it. I wish he didn’t have to do it. But that officer didn’t have to force him like that.

If this would have been in the real world that officer would have been charged with assault, child endangerment, and maybe child abuse. The school would have been sued as well as the police department which would have cost our taxpayers millions of dollars.

Back in the 60's 70's, and 80's police in the UK, use to falsely arrest Rastafarians, take them to the station/cell to process them, cut their loc's and let them go with no charges. This happened a lot in the UK, it took so much marching for it to stop. This bought back so much memories and tears. Now our loc's are called dreadloc's because how dreadful they were said to look. People forget😢

I can't believe a police would forcefully cut a kid hair because " boys should have short hair " like bruh ITS HIS HAIR NOT YOURS ( This kinda happened to me when I was 4 , I couldn't have hair longer the the shoulders and my hair was really long that time but I got bullied because of that , I'm pretty lucky to not get my hair cut )

I know this is a dramatization and everything, but this made my blood boil. It made me think of this stupid teacher who cut her student's hair against his will while singing the National Anthem in the middle of the class while the other students were running out in fear. Under NO circumstance is it okay to do anything like this.
