Most of Alberta is empty even now, and back when Europeans first came there were up to 500k natives in all of present day Canada. So even more of it was empty. As a Canadian, this conversation was definitely inappropriate. I see a hard working man who does not have to endure harassment. At the same time, this issue extends beyond race because as struggling Canadian, I have also experienced this type of behaviour from them.
