Glad to hear the ride is so good! I was a little dubious about so much weight up high, but I’m glad it worked out so well! Looking forward to a full report after your trip. Cheers! 🥨🍺🥬

Yeah - I do think part of it is particular to this bike - it is just so stable - almost to a fault.

So good you bought another!

For real! I think pixel ordered one too.

@@TimFitzwater that’s right! Bought it based on your suggestion. So hard to find those foam spacers though! I think you bought them all lol. I am such a courdara type of fella it’s a big change for me. As long as bags have their lining made of “truck tarp” liner, they’re nearly bulletproof proof (like Trashbags). The paint store stick idea is solid, definitely gonna try that. Currently looking at some cookware. Open to suggestions. Worries about my tent size/weight, but Robin told me I’m ok with my 2-person 5# Alpkit “Terri”. Shoulda waited to buy the tent because that Nero looks way more sick to me. Happy I was able to snag a Thermarest NeoAir XLite though!!!

I’m looking into getting a zeitgeist for my handlebars. I’m curious, how wide of bars were you using on this setup? I’m on 42’s with an average amount of flare on the drops.
@TimFitzwater Жыл бұрын
These were 45mm with straight drops. Might be a little tight with 42s - just wouldn't be able to stuff the side pockets mostly.

Carradice? Stay Safe! and love from England!! xx

Yeah - they are kind of the brand that invented these saddle bags. Really great stuff - now all these small US makers are updating the style. Peace

@@TimFitzwater I watched Paths less Pedalled on this subject and I must say that Carrdice need to update their range. But this is England a bit like a stuck record!! Stay Safe Tim!!!

Love you channel. Can you recommend a battery pack???? THANKS, Tom
@TimFitzwater Жыл бұрын
Thanks! I've always used ones by the brand Anker. As far as which one it just depends on how much you want to carry - the size and weight go up and you get more power. I like the latest one I bought because it can charge two things at once - so I can go to sleep with my bike computer and phone charging from one battery. (or headlight and taillight can be charging during the day. a.co/d/6QhCHAp

I'm not sure what you are asking?

Two Carradice Camper Longflap Saddlebags are 24 litter bags.. a piece...then I use a full size Rogue Panda frame bag...then I can use two small Lone Peak. Panniers for the front wheel for round-the-world touring...I would get 2 top tube bags. I pedal a Surly Troll...that is set up like a ATB...blessings. -Friar Rodney Burnap

Carradice bags look cool but I have no desire to deal with leather straps and metal buckles - hard enough to get into modern-style bags like these already.
@friarrodneyburnap43362 жыл бұрын
The leather straps are stronger and less likely be damaged by the Sun and UltraViolet sun rays...you get used to the buckles pretty quickly...
