Would you guys mind looking into the ol' WW2 bunker? I took a gander last week and saw a few signs but am still trying to see if someone, a land owner, who may do a brief interview? Great video, all. -Jim

There's a building I'd love to show you just leaving Belen on NM Hwy 47! I know a tiny bit about the history of it and I was lucky enough to hang out there a long time ago and was in awe of the things I saw and discovered in it..

my great grandparents owned the land where the railroad was built. my grandfather Leo Baca owned Leo's Pool hall right across the street from the old Belen hotel off Becker St. My grandfather and grandmother Gloria Baca has a house across the street but is now bull dozed.

I just relocated to Belen for the next 3 months and so far I am enjoying it. Maybe I’ll run into you on the street one day 😂

You missed the part where Belen turned into a crime-ridden hellhole.

Have yet to make a positive impact? If you make a direct comment, without resolve, its sort of empty and lacking..

It’s true, it’s a dump. Wast there more than three days and people tried to take my trailer, a cut the cat off my truck

Well, to each their own. When folks share like this, sort of bittersweet because negativity should be called out and noted but constructive criticism should be acknowledged.

Nice you did a piece on Belen but the reality is Belen is a crime/drug infested dangerous place to live. I grew up there and the last time I was there in 2020 I stayed in Los Lunas because Belen did the impossible and turned into an even bigger dump. It's to bad because when I grew up there it was a nice place to live. Best thing it has going for it is Pete's Cafe and Blakes Lottaburger. TRUMP 2024!!!!
