Wow!!! Thank you for sharing this. Traverse path is right behind my house and I trail run that and red rum all the time and never seen anyone actually riding it and you sit blew our minds. My daughters, wife, and I were so amazed! That was awesome thank you!

Dangit! I would've loved to have followed you. These are my local trails. I often ride both like you did here. Chinkapin is way better the other way. I'd be curious to see what you'd do. Thanks for the new lines. lol

Dang I should have posted asking for a local to show us the way! Awesome spot you have there, enjoy it.

@@PatSmage I've just now followed you on IG, so may have missed if you posted about being here before. Have been on your YT channel for a while, actually I think when you rode Fitzgerald a while back. Love watching you ride. Really cool seeing all the lines you took on both these trails. I've ridden both countless times but obviously don't have near your skills so wouldn't even think of doing some of the things you did here. Very cool seeing new options. These trails don't get the press that Bentonville trails do, but I like that each gives totally different types of trails and now we can easily connect between the two. Plus I can ride from home to get to either pretty quickly. Try to stay warm!

Makes me wonder which app was directing you to go up Chinkapin?

@@hb3mtb Look like MTB Project shows the start at the bottom and finish at the top. Trailforks shows the arrows correctly.

@@hb3mtb MTB Project. I went by the arrows along with the start at the green dot end on red, and it saying it’s a fun descent. Looking at it after I see the elevation map shows a climb, so their arrows are just backwards unless I’m missing something. Oh well! It happens to me all the time, one day I’ll figure it out, haha.

Thanks for showing us Fayetteville locals your alternate lines that most of our minds can’t see. Not that my skills will allow me to take most of those. Ditto to what my buddy IronScott said in the comments. Enjoy your videos. I am beside myself thinking of making it up the wooden skinny drop. OORC volunteers, including myself built most of that section of trail in the early pandemic shut down. Drop a line when your back in NWA. Sadly I had to move away, but I get back as often as I can.

Glad you liked it and thanks for helping build some cool trails! I would love to put more laps in around there and find more fun lines, but even the first ones I saw were pretty good. Yeah the going up that drop was pretty tricky because the wood was angled back at you so I had to hit the front on a very small spot. Should have got another angle of it. Oh well at least some people know! I'll try to give a heads up next time in case anyone wants to point me in the right direction.

Ok Pat, this weekend I finally sent DH1 lily pad which is fully exposed, checked Centennial for the first time Sunday and that drop at Red Rum is just so terrifying. No one from our group thought about doing it... heck it is not a drop but a bunny hop to nose dive gap. Already told David Roper to check it out while he's in Arkansas eager to see if he'll have the courage to send it. 😁

Just revisited this when the video was linked for someone looking for the hardest things in NWA, and I agree with your sentiment. Just the fact that he said, "OK, time for me to be scared" tells me a lot about that line, because Pat is a very accomplished rider in multiple disciplines. I remember going to see that for the first time, and I walked up to it and did a "REALLY????" It made me feel queasy. It's nasty enough that I wouldn't really even want to be there when amateur riders try it. Oh, and the run-in doesn't look anything like that anymore, unless they've smoothed it recently. It's a rocky mess with a sketchy right-hand turn...and no time to get lined up if you're off line. It's amazing how easy Pat makes it look, when all I could see was about 43 things that needed to go right, or the consequences were going to be bad. Really bad.

@@willbros1499 yup runup is a mess and probably made that way to scare newbies from dying
