IMO those cards should be cheaper, considering RTX5000 is around the corner. The prices were actually better when mining had just crashed 1 or 2 years ago.

The comically cheap 1060 may be from the mining crash since we do have a mining craze here like everywhere else and when it came down, mining card flooded the market for the cheap along with the "leftovers" of computer parts because major retail chain like CoolPC bundled the GPUs with other stuff as a failed attempt to drive away miners which the latter one just offload them online. To this day there's still 1660 Supers for 2k-3k NTD on the market that's from the crash and I never trust them when they says "bro trust me it's never been mined on"
@hoangminhdo12595 ай бұрын
Anything below 2060 super today is just mining card , there no thing call "GAMER" card use only or new never mining thing . And i find it funny when they tag their price 😅 , like bro your card is not fully function and you say never mining and 100 usd for 1060 3gb, lmao😂
@techyescity5 ай бұрын
Yeah that last mining crash was intense. I am pretty sure they were left overs from it as well.

Taiwan isn't the only place where Radeon is undervalued. 8 months ago I was surprised that I was only 1 of 3 people bidding on a Liquid Devil 6800 XT on eBay, and I ended up winning the auction for only $416 USD. The card showed up in mint condition, and after overclocking, I have RTX 3090/RTX 4070 Ti performance levels in rasterized games. I can't believe the performance this card puts out for the money I spent. I also feel a bit bad for the guy who sold the card, because he paid over $1,000 for it 3 years ago, that's a LOT of depreciation.

I would love to see you get in touch with Steve Kilbey of the phenomenal Australian band, The Church. Marty Wilson Piper may be easier to negotiate with. But a custom "The Church" PC by a fellow Ausie would definitely surprise them in a really good way. I see them with an all AMD build as they usually rally against companies like Intel or Ngreedia.

Radeon cards are very compelling if they are priced well. Most people don't need RT or 40-series Nvidia. An RX6700/6800/6900 or 7xxx series card will work great. Same token, yes grab up all the GTX750s and 960s. Those cards are superb for an office PC or home that isn't meant for hard-core gaming. Heck I keep a 550ti laying around for just that purpose. Handles Windows beautifully. Or whatever. Great for testing too. It just makes sense to have a few of those cards on hand.

Used GPUs are almost all overpriced in the market here right now imo, considering how old these cards are. The Pascal and Polaris cards are still selling for the same-ish prices they were during the first mining crash. There are still some OK deals here and there, but nothing amazing for even older gen parts. New Nvidia GPU prices just pull the entire price stack of GPUs up, including the used stuff. Which really sucks.

He's fine. It was a long day of transiting between places and one of the stores taking longer than usual.
From my recent experience scoping out used deals, it's iffy whether local or online. There's a lot of sketchy stuff being listed, and honestly I just bought a b450 that had already been bios updated to support a Ryzen 5600x. I had intended to install a 2700x in it but now I'm going to have to get a different CPU for the motherboard or take it back out and try to resell it. =\ not the best options. So what I decided to do is wait until I get my next paycheck and pick up a 5700x3d because they're only 200 on Newegg. Paired with an xfx Rx 6800 core, 32Gb Gskill 3200 cl 16 and a 2tb nvme gen 3x4 boot drive I'm confident the Corsair 650W PSU will make a great budget 4k 60fps base system to finally run cyberpunk 2077 in 4K on my 70" TV. Entertainment goals.

OK so, due to the trade embargoes against China on all tech that can perform AI at a certain performance level, the 4090 can no longer be sold there. Neither can anything "New". The definition is in legalese so I am not typing that, but suffice it to say at least daily I read a report of a man with SSDs and CPUs taped to his body being busted, or a woman with a carry on handbag stuff full of 4090s. I have read all sorts of crazy schemes to get NVIDIA GPUs into China as they are willing to pay scalper prices for them at this point. Nvidia made a cutdown 4090 that would be overclocked to reach stock performance, once the US government realized that, selling to China had to be halted. NATO and the US feel that China is amassing these things to bolster their military. And they are. The US military has an extreme tech advantage against every other military in the world and allowing China to catch up is seen as a national and even global security threat. And they are correct. NATO uses the US as it's "Bug Stomper" all over the world. Half the conflicts we are in is a NATO situation. It's why Ukraine wasn't fast tracked into NATO. It would have forced US boots on Ukraine and Russian soil and the Russians promised a nuclear strike if that is to happen. If ANY NATO faction attacks them they claim they are going nuclear. With all of this in mind, China still supports Russia. They buy their crude for pennies on the dollar and refine it themselves, giving them little profit, but they are still buying it and still allow Russia the credit needed to purchase the military gear they make in China. Along with humanitarian aid. The better China's military gets, the better Russia's will. And the US and NATO are actively trying to stop this from happening. Hence the billions thrown at Intel and others to raise American lithography above all others. And of course the EU stoppage of ASML lithography machines to China. Due to that situation the AMD parts are cheaper and more plentiful as China doesn't yet want them. If AMD decided to up it's AI game, and it is, it's just a matter of time before they will be asked to stop shipping to China as well.
