I tested this card using i3-2120, i5-2400 and i3-9100f and in all 3 tests this card bottlenecked the system. So, I really don't know who would say that the i5-2400 is a bottleneck, when in reality it isn't.

I have this card on my optiplex 790. Core i5 2400 cpu. 16GB RAM. Linux Mint 20.3. It plays HD video just fine. I don't play high demand games so I don't worry about stressing the video card.

Okay, "newbie" question. What's the difference between this card and HD 7570 (1GB DDR5, in my case)? I thought this one would perform similary but after few videos it seems so much worse... And I almost bought this 7470 because of that assumption. (For the record - I'm looking for a similiar card to 7570 to a second PC and due to various reasons I can't find another 7570.)

get a r5 240 and over clock it will perform better than hd 7570 By a lot and you can play a lot of modern esports games it will perform slightly better than a r7 240 and will pair well with a sandy bridge cpu like a i3 2120 or a i5 2400 or even a e3 1220

Should really get a nice cooler and overclock that 2600k! I got mine to around 4.7ghz on all cores with a budget Arctic Freezer 34 cooler. I wonder how this card performance compared to an R5 240, which only cost me like $9 on eBay. Also, I am always appreciative of seeing BeamNG.Drive tested!

@@thegamerguy141 "ouch! That is seriously weak dude!" -girl on NFS U Well there isnt much you can do there, that pentium D would slow anything down, even if not installed XD. You could try BSEL modding it but, I've never done it myself on a pentium D, I've done it before on a celeron 420, which is the easiest one to do. Its risky, probably not worth the try (since pentium d sucks, no matter the clock speed) and might break the entire system. If it were mine, I'd try getting a newer mobo that at leasts supports a decent lga775 processor and pair it with a better dual core. From what you have, I suppose you dont have a lot of money(just like me, yay), so I suggest getting an e2180. That would at least let you play something, I'm trying to be the most budgety possible here. If you have a bit more money, try getting an even better processor. You can always lower the graphics but there isnt much you can do about processing power.

@@thegamerguy141 well...that would be waaaay better. The 200GE is a very good processor. I dont like amd, but what can I do? Its an actually good n cheap processor. But... You could also try getting a xeon, they're very cheap on aliexpress and some will give you an I7 performance, check PhillsComputerLab's channel, he tests some xeons in there, and they're very good. I'd just wait a bit to buy anything pc related, prices are a bit high thanks to the virus.

I got 10 bucks once for pulling out a HD 8490 out of someone's DELL pc who had HD 4600 onboard graphics which is twice as fast as a HD8490 in games like csgo and fortnite. If you have a HD8490 or slower, please check if your igpu is faster, if it is, switch to igpu.

Dude, you should pick up an HD 7570 (1GB GDDR5) and an HD 8570 (1GB DDR3) and compare benchmarks with HD 7470. All three cards are OEM cards people probably still have or use. What do you think?

2:45 the only way that guy got those fps with this card in their system is if they also had a Ryzen APU in it and accidentally connected the HDMI port to the MB instead of to the card itself.

Bro, sure it didnt achieve 120 fps, your cooler fan and your case are bottlenecking the system. But I think that you might be able to disable direct x and updating your hard drive's BIOS to get more fps.

I got one recently and will use it for test client PCs (I'm technician), these graphics cards born bottlenecked with these 64-bit GDDR3 buses, remember isn't GCN arquitecture (these have good compression), this cards are Rebranded HD6450, also the 8470, R5 230, R5 235 and R5 235X minimum changes between all, looks like all R5 has HDMI instead of Display Port of HD7470
