Bandits of Orgosolo is a major classic of Italian cinema, described by Martin Scorsese “It was as if De Seta were an anthropologist who spoke with the voice of a poet.” Pier Paolo Pasolini, who competed against De Seta at the Venice Film Festival with his classic Accatone, described him as "A poet of reality." On Blu-ray for the first time with English subtitles this edition comes with new special features, including De Seta's short film programme The Lost World in the UK edition.
