My neighbor is contemplating going on a RC cruise so she’s been reviewing all of the ships tour videos. Imagine her surprise when she sees me in this video in the schooner bar at 24:40 😂 we all got a good laugh. I found the cruise to be very quiet . Can’t wait to try Allure in January.

Was on this ship September 16-23, 2022. I've also been on the Serenade. Beautiful ships. Love the traditional woods, the profusion of glass, and the modern art. It was awesome getting up early and joining a few other people on the Helipad as we approached our first port, Juneau. Many happy memories! 🙂

Hands-down, this is my favorite ship ever. It's a perfect size, is laid out very well and the finishes are just absolutely beautiful. I just booked another cruise on the Radiance for August of next year. I cannot wait.

Our first ever cruise was on Radiance! Then we sailed on her again in Greece. Also, I agree with you about the Solarium. You can use it year round, rain or shine!

We’ve loved our times on Radiance OTS as well as Seranade OTS. And yes, we’ve been there when they opened the roof in the solarium. I agree with you about Schooner Bar. The ship’s wooden decor and trim gives it a special deluxe feeling. I swear that because it’s a smaller ship, you seem to run into and become acquainted with so many more people than you do on the larger ships.

We'll be sailing radiance for a 9 night Caribbean in March '23. Looking forward to it. We sailed on Rhapsody years ago and I remember enjoying it very much. The promenade ships are very nice but I think the centrum style are just a bit more intimate.

My first cruise on Radiance was in 2001. Next one was 2008. I've now sailed Serenade and Jewel. We just booked Radiance for 2024 for Alaska. She's definitely one of my favorites! Now I just need to go on Brilliance!

I just sailed this ship Aug 12 to Alaska. The staff was excellent. The ship …. Well it’s in desperate need of refurbishment. We had room 9550 balcony. The couch was so worn we asked for a sheet to cover it.

Just finished the Alaska cruise based out of Vancouver. Loved the ship!!! I wished I had seen your video prior to sailing but I loved watching it nonetheless. The Schooner Bar is where I spent most of my evening time! Loved the ship. It was perfect for sailing the inside passage and getting to the glaciers. Great video. Booked our next cruise already. Oct 2024 on the Ovation to Hawaii. Ill be sure to look for the tour video! :) Thanks for the video. Great job

I absolutely love the heli pad, fantastic for star gazing as there is very little light pollution from the ship. In the past there have even been star gazing tours on some of the shops with accessable heli pads.

@@jennadelaurentis4399 The tours I went on were lead by a crew member who did a good bit of amature astronomy. The first night he offered the tour there were maybe 30 of us. The second night, around 300 people showed up. Sadly the second night was called off due to cloudy weather. No matter what, I always try to spend some evening hours on the heli pad watching the stars. One night I was alone and saw a shooting star that was bright enough to reflect off the ocean. Can't wait to get some time under clear skys again.

JIGSAW PUZZLE ROOM. This could replace the extra internet cafe. A room with 3-4 large tables with 500+ piece puzzles. This is a wonderful thing that I see at work, senior centers etc. Puzzles with the piece sorters are the most favorite and people can walk by and take a few moments or hours to build puzzles.... leave them in building status for the next cruise.

Radiance is our favorite ship, 90% of our Diamond points were earned on Radiance. the only other ships we have been on were Oasis once, Liberty 3 times, and Rhapsody. The Heated lounges on the Radiance I believe are the only ones in the fleet with a view. We tried the Thermal spa on Liberty but hated it, as they don't have the heated recliners and it is in the center and the ship, no views and dark. I wish I hadn't seen this video, it make me miss the Radiance.

The Park Cafe in the solarium is a great place at midnight to get a snack or Pizza especially when the bars are closing Also 6:00 a.m. coffee before the Windjammer opens at 7am

So you're saying is that sliding glass roof in the solarium seized shut and it would take a lot of work to get it open and a lot of PB blaster which is an anti seize anti-rust oil that you spray on Rusty components that are seized up and you can get it open

Wasn't the Radiance Class built with Alaska in mind? That was what I was told at one time and would explain why they have totem poles. We love the Radiance Class because it's actually connected to the ocean, unlike the megaships, which seem to focus on the interior of the ship more than the exterior, with less windows and less visible ocean.

Recently booked on Radiance for an Alaska cruise this August. The fact that this is a smaller ship, and likely will have fewer children onboard than the newer ships led me to prefer this over the bigger ships. To me, Alaska is more about the land sights and views, and not as much about on-board entertainment.

Thanks for the tour, Matt. We’ll be on Radiance OTS on Jan 30th for a Western Caribbean 10 day cruise. I have a question. When showing the cabins, it looked like the doors were wooden. Were they or are they metal? Several on our cruise are wanting to decorate their doors celebrating birthdays, anniversaries, etc and were planning on using magnets on the outside of their doors.

So I'm taking a cruise on this ship in November. Am I crazy to ask the room attendant to not worry about the beds each day. I work in housekeeping at a casino and I know how many rooms they do a day. If I can make the bed why not give them a little break. I know it's my vacation but I enjoy cleaning so what's the harm. Do you think they would take offense?

The only other Royal Caribbean ship with the solarium is closed in is on wonder of the seized and on icon of the seas and on Utopia of the seas. And I think that's a modification that should be done to all the ships.

I went on oasis and navigator shortly after and Oasis was freaking amazon and navigator felt like a mini oasis but I hate how there was a lack of interior spaces where you could view the outside from. On oasis there was only one place where you could view the outside of the ship from the interior. It seems like radiance isn't lacking that.

I've noticed that there is a lot of Windows that shift in public areas to look outside and I'm not talking about outside in the pool area outside the ship was lost in the oasis-class design in which real cricket did admit that was a design flaw but it's a design flaw that does not affect the safe operation or effectiveness of the vessel
