What a great idea. That solder gun is awesome. Thanks.

I really like your project videos. I really wish you'd show the completed project including how things operate.

Adapting the soldering iron tip to create the channels was brilliant. I think you could've improved thermal coupling between the PEX and the flooring by insetting aluminum reflectors in the channels to cradle the PEX.

Fantastic! Excellent video on installation technique! But so many questions. Wondering how radiant flooring efficiency in a camper compare to other methods? I'm just starting my research journey on this as I plan for my own project. Also, the insulation makes sense to keep heat from going into the area below the floor, but does it also hurt heat transfer into the camper interior as well? You can obviously see my ignorance as it pertains to radiant floor heating... LOL!

Hey Peter. I am presently watching your boat fix up videos' and have been watching since i came across this "in floor heating video" some time ago." I am re-visiting the idea of dong this in my RV. I NEED HELP PLEASE :-) I am going to sacrifice the 6 gallon hot water tank and use it in a closed loop system that i plan to fill with water/ glycol. Is it just as simple as a closed loop system with a pump or do i need to add a mixer or anything else ?? I have a diagram but can't post it here. Appreciate any advice . Thanks.

That worked well because you spent the time to think about and work through the snags. As you said, you hoped to never have to rip up the insulation you'd just stuck down. That could've been sooner rather than never had you not got the groove width just snug. In a home installation the tubing is on top of the insulation and held down with barbed "staples", an option you didn't have so well done Peter.

Do you still have your rig? Two questions on your installation: 1. Do you wish you had uses 1" insulation instead of 1/2" to get better insulation factor? 2. How did the straight PEX work for transferring heat to the rig? Would using some flashing to help transfer the heat have helped any?

Is there another video where you go into more detail on how you set this system up?

hero. I know how well does the pax and the foam board held up for the past few years? Thanks.

awesome idea and work dude. would be stoked to see the rest of your mechanical system. what are you using for a mini boiler?

Hello Chris, sorry for the slow reply. Didn't see your message. I use the regular domestic hot water heater and a tiny circulation pump on a thermostat. Works a treat. Warm toes! I actually completely redid it in the latest episode. Cheers.

Is the foam board rated for that type of heat? The ones I’ve seen have empty space between the coils but insulation underneath. What would be the advantages of using that much foam?

Hi, I found a 20’ 75 Argus and it looks in good condition for 11k would you recommend this model? You seam to be very knowledgeable in this matter!

I can't say if that particular coach is good value but I suspect so. The 20's are delightful.
