Everything you said is exactly my 86 yr old mom's story. After 6 yrs of fighting the fight she's still going strong. She had 26 lymph nodes positive and removed and stage 3c. She will always have cancer but the chemo pills are doing a great job. We're planning a road trip now. You have many years of life to go. Keep fighting and enjoy your life.

My mom went through this. A piece of advice - make sure to keep an eye on your stomach. This type of cancer ILC has the potential to spread there. I would have appreciated it if i knew it earlier.

We have a very similar story.I am a late stage 3,but a few months after surgery i felt as though it was not confined to my breast and regional area.It is really upsetting because i tried all i could, not to develop breast cancer, and it still happened!

Hey Julie! Hang in there. I’m continuing to send prayers from one survivor to another. I am almost 2 years out and still fatigued. Don’t be surprised with the radiation fatigue. It’s real and just rest with it. You will need a lot of time to just focus on yourself. Take it! I was so happy to see you doing some integrative therapy as well. Possibly try massage, lymphatic drainage and reiki as well. Sending love and hugs! 💗💗💗💗💗

You are SO BRAVE! Thank you for sharing your journey. I know that there are going to be women seeing this and will know more about their diagnosis and how to battle this terrible disease because you were kind and loving enough to share your journey. Praying fervently for you and your sweet family.

My lobular carcinoma was restaged from stage 2 b, to stage 3c ( after mastectomy), then stage 4 , 6 weeks later. I had radiation,( not that bad). I used SXRT topical gel after each treatment (twice a day). I also used phys assist oncology cream skin therapy , after the initial burning wore off (week 5). I tried calendula cream, but it didn't help me. I didn't really get tired until the end of week 3, when I just felt exhausted after each treatment. (You might want someone to drive you then.) I had my ovaries and fallopian tubes removed while they took out a single 5cm abdominal tumor. I am now on faslodex shots (monthly) and daily Kisqali (targeted treatment pill), 3 weeks on, 1 week off to help my white blood cells recover. I do notice quite a bit of hair thinning with the Kisqali. The faslodex shots burn a bit, and cause some mild bruising, but not that bad. Your gene sequencing will be important for treatment going forward. I have a PI3KCA mutation and an ESR1 mutation . Sending you love, hugs and strength. Praying that you do not get to stage 4. Here for you :)

Use raw cabbage leaves, cut the ribs out. Put the raw cabbage leaves on radiated area when you get dressed immediately after treatment. I used a really soft sports bra to hold the leaves in place. Keep on for an hour then change if needed. It pulls the heat out so you don't burn so deeply. Use calendula oil, aloe gel, and hemp oil with lavender eo, let each dry before adding the next. Put on after treatment, about 4 hours later and at bedtime. If your treatment is later in the morning, I applied before if I had at least 4 hours before. For range of motion, stand next to a wall and slide your arm up as far as you can, lean into it a bit. Come back down and repeat. Do it facing and sideways with both arms.

my 87 yr old mom and I both diagnosed with stage 2a lobular. Me last fall at 57 and her at 80. Our yearly mammograms found them. Couldn't be felt. Both of us had about a 2.5 cm tumor. Curious if your doctors have speculated why your annual mammos missed it for so long? Thank you for sharing your story and raising awareness of this less common variety of breast cancer.
