I've had the pleasure of meeting Father Sabastian at my local convention. The quality of his work and the experience he gives is clients is unlike anything I've ever seen. I'm very interested in the real vampire identity, in spite of having no true connection with it. I'm not a vampire, nor do I really have much of a desire to be one or even roleplay as one. But it interests me. I like how real vampires from this modern era believe that they've been misrepresented and mythologized in those days, and therefore those myths are exaggeratedly derived from real human traits. That's how they can call themselves vampires. I love how the real vampires wear the vampire aesthetic such as fangs and capes and contact lenses, in order to express their identity and do what they like. After all, they have the full right to dress as the myth, as the myth was based on them. I think energy seeking and blood drinking and sexual energy seeking can be rooted in neurological and psychological differences. It's not entirely about spiritual energy (Though spirituality does often play a role and that's not a bad thing. There are some folks who are vampires entirely for spiritual reasons.). Some need to be in crowds, where the energy concentrates, or have a thing that makes them crave blood, or sexual energy. Everyone experiences the whole "psychic vampire" energy thing to a smaller degree. What about ADHD where some crave constant mental stimulation? Vampires are just a type of human, as are Otherkin. It's not like it's a delusion or mental disorder -- there is a clear acknowledgment of being human. Most vampires regard the myth as being inaccurate, regarding things like being immortal unless they go out into the sun and melt, and other such myth criteria. Otherkin also view themselves as human, but not quite in some way -- it's a neurosocial and spiritual thing. They know they can't actually transform into their type, and they know they are human with a usually typical human appearance (Aside from self-expression of identity through appearance and body modifications they may need to feel comfortable/ease dysphoria/better express their full selves.) as well as more of a human limit to their abilities. I love to watch and hear about other alternative minority identities outside of my own (I'm flamboyantly Alternative through appearance and this reflects my Alternative identities and interests, and also I'm Autistic.), so real vampires interest me. It's like something that I can do to be outside of myself, while still having comfort in the alternative life without the personal impact of listening to the issues involving my own identity types. I can just be like, "How and what are those folks over there doing? What's going on?" And I can still be comforted by the alternative stuff that I like without any of the baggage of it being my own identities. I can get out of my head for a bit. However, I am vegetarian and strongly support animal rights and am fully against meat eating and murder of animals by anyone... As for blood, I think it's OK if the methods of obtaining it are ethical. I mean, vampires often have connections with other human donors, and that's fine, but in this case you have to be EXTREMELY careful about diseases transmitted through blood, and also bacterial infections from open wounds on skin. This really worries me about you all in the vampire lifestyle. Also, I wonder if certain Therians and Otherkin also drink blood, such as mosquito therians, leech therians, or parasitic therians and Otherkin in general. It would be interesting to know more about these types.

I have a question about those prosthetic fangs: what are the psychological effects of wearing them? Father Sebastian said that there’s some sort of psychological effects for wearing prosthetic fangs as if it is like wearing a mask.
