Radical face is REAL music. Ben Cooper's songs are poetic and tearful. The Best.

I emailed Ben once because I wanted him to come play in my state. He hasn't come yet but he sent me a really nice reply email. He is such a cool guy. I love that he does his own tutorial videos for his songs on youtube.

It's a huge honor when an artist records an original version of a song at your studio. I love that she thanks Ben for the slight alteration in the first song, then he follows it up with the greatest, mind-blowing version of Along the Road on record.

A very close friend I hadn't spoke to in a decade just today recommended this band. What an amazing sound. Truly music has not died. But we as a whole have stopped listening to sound and feeling. Bands need to rise again and prove that we can conquer with taste and dignity.

I never heard of Radical Face until Ben's interview on NPR today. The first song captured my imagination. Now I can't stop listening. I might have to buy the entire trilogy.

Radical Face - Always Gold We were tight knit boys Brothers in more then name You would kill for me And knew that I'd do the same And it cut me sharp Hearing you'd gone away But everything goes away Yeah everything goes away But I'm going to be here until I'm nothing But bones in the ground And I was there, when you grew restless Left in the dead of night And I was there, when three months later You were standing in the door all beat and tired And I stepped aside Everything goes away Yeah everything goes away But I'm gonna be here until I'm nothing But bones in the ground So quiet down We were opposites at birth I was steady as a hammer No one worried 'cause they knew just where I'd be And they said you were the crooked kind And that you'd never have no worth But you were always gold to me And back when we were kids We swore we knew the future And our words would take us half way 'round the world But I never left this town And you never saw New York And we ain't ever cross the sea But I am fine with where I am now This home is home, and all that I need But for you, this place is shame But you can blame me when there's no one left to blame Oh I don't mind All my life I've never known where you've been There were holes in you The kind that I could not mend And I heard you say Right when you left that day Does everything go away? Yeah, everything goes away. But I'm going to be here 'til forever So just call when you're around.

Along the road There, along the road, was a tiny home The yard held dead machines behind its fences Like they were it's kids Broken down, but still worth a lot to someone It made me stop and grin Light from a dying moon It blurs our eyes And we wear a cape of fireflies And after the world's in bed All the ghosts come sing along But we'll forget them When the morning comes And I slept on the ocean last night I could see you all, and you all were dancing sideways Your feet stuck to the skies And I could see the airplanes dance behind your eyes And I was glad I found the time

Reminders: I wish I had more nice things to say But I was raised not to lie I'm either honest, or I'm an optimist But never both at the same time And everyone knows the deal Gotta take what you can 'cause anything I don't steal Just winds up in someone else's hands There's only so much good a man can take When he ain't so good himself You remind me of what I could've been But that reminder ain't much help So it's better if you were on your way If you were somewhere far from me So you could dream I turned out well And I... I could just go to sleep I wish I had more nice things to say But I was raised not to lie I'm either honest, or I'm an optimist But never both at the same time

Eau Rouge Your so correct. Not this electrical shit. Iam not even that old yet I was young enough to be exposed to REAL music. Today I can't find a station where I live that not is eather Rap or rich girls voices who go into recording studios & boom there's an album. Notice they all have such a pretty young face. Plus disgusted that they get younger & younger. Example we don't hear much a/b Kelly Clarkson since she put on weight. Iam not huge fan yet she has been through hell in industry due to her up &down weight. However if you like I did have ever had chance to here her voice with NO computers it actually sounds better then with.Thats my feminist prospective. Then we have bands like Radical Face, we'll never see at the Grammys. Imagine this shit going down when Queen,Claption, Zeppelin, The Band & The Dead ETC. were around at their height? They would of vomited. Wait they never had their fall from grace at least from this girls eyes.

Open eyes adjusting to the dark The growlin' of machinery Can't say if it's night or day And you know, somewhere in there you know There will be a price to pay 'til all this goes away So we walk the empty halls, the dirty walls We smear our names in them Dirt we find beneath our nails Can't be scrubbed from our tired hands, never clean We're never clean We're never clean Walk the halls, soot along the walls Some will smear their names in it While some just go away And you know, somewhere in there you know There's nothing here but surviving 'til something goes away But through the cracks in this machine We see the light, we see the sun dissolve And we feel the pulse of life A better life on the other side, and we wait And so we wait And so we wait Time is lost, found cracks along my bones This metal god is all I know Now something's gone away And you know, somewhere in there you know Our blood's in the machinery Our heart's in the machinery And that's what went away
