It’s a milder cover out of the box. If you want to use it in heavy oil I suggest sanding it.

that is smooth with ctd 500 trucut . that will be a good ball for Mt hood lanes and kingpin's of Portland where there is alot of oil and newer synthetic lanes where my strongest ball alpha jackal was going straight.

Damn i switch surface OFTEN on my balls and i use from 4000 3000 2000 1500 1000 500 400 360 240 180 and my lowest is 120 and that hooks EARLY

Spending more on CTD products is a waste. It’s 500 grit the same as any abralon Pad, same as any sandpaper from Home Depot.

I disagree but to each their own. I used to use scotch brite, but I love the quality and variety of TruCut and they last much longer than other options. Especially with the pad conditioner.
