Pretty nice but for a novice racer maybe what Caterham offers is better. The car is not as fancy as this one but the price is much lower and you can drive it to and from the track. Something else I wanted to say, always keep your visor closed. It won't get misty don't worry about that.

the sp/300r isn't road legal is it? or do you mean the caterham academy?
@v_alexiadis10 жыл бұрын
givemeajackson Yeah the Academy.

i agree, 21'000£ for a season of racing is extremely cheap, and caterhams are such awesome cars!

"It may sound expensive" pffffft, what? Naaaaaah, let me just go rob a bank. Scratch that, make it two banks. Motorsport is incredibly expensive in every single way. Not even karting is the least bit accessible for the average person. I presume that with this, an incredible amount of hypothetical tallent is continuously being lost.
@mieguistumas10 жыл бұрын
Hey, but it isn't road legal as caterham is. So, it is more expensive and you have to carry it around in a lorry.
@nodidog10 жыл бұрын
I'd prefer the SR1 to be honest, although I agree that the academy is fantastic value. Different strokes for different folks. And you don't need a lorry; get a trailer! They aren't expensive.

I hope you get to keep that car when your done for that price!!!!!!!

i truly dont understand ppl saying that this is expensive....you get a fully loaded racing vehicle and racing fees and many other stuff (look at their website) for less than a fully spec Golf R that will depreciate like crazy...how on earth is this expensive?! People out there buy 5 Series BMWs and stupid Mercedes and Audis on a (literally) daily basis, but THIS is expensive?!! yeah right...
@324893410 жыл бұрын
So in the end is the car yours or is it just loaned for the racing?
LMP1 appearance.......lol, it looks like LMP3 and goes nowhere near it's performance, let's get that clear. A real race car it is not and either is an SR3 really.

+Ancient um, he said It's a "Real race car", ummm not it's not and neither is an SR3, I was simply pointing to the errors said in this video, with exaggerations like this, it is important to set people straight right from the beginning, not market it without the full story. I nearly bought an SR3 and fell for the whole Radical spin, but I wised up and bought something else, it is exactly the advice others need to hear too sometimes. It's a lot of money, people don't need to spend twice, Radical has not been a good company to deal with in Australia, they are only focused on profits from Rich people and not focused enough on the true passion of racing sadly, I'm not sure what it's like in Europe?
@JaYb977168 жыл бұрын
+Simons World Dude, chill out! The guy in the video was just saying its a great racing car to start out with and the fact it has Le Mans car overtones would make the driver feel amazing as someone who has never been around a track before.
@cutdepiefails65967 жыл бұрын
Still better than most of the stripped road cars that need a bunch of mods and coin and still are slower and not has good as this. He should have said LMP car. Radical is a blessing in the current world of racing. And yes Radicals SR1 are race cars, pretty obvious one and they are great here if they suck there is the distributor that you have to bitch about. Plus, you are an amateur, why do you care so much about the brand or the car? Just get something cheap, fast and reliable and go on to the track.

I would do anything to be a racing driver would even put my neck under the knife but at the end of the day its all about the money if you got it in the bag you get it if not then you get nothing. Only keep dreaming and hoping that maybe one day.

Volunteer in a racing team (rally, or track) to do whatever, try to learn whatever you can, if you can get a job, find the cheapest championship in your country (karting for example) or get a cash cow with a couple of friends and get a chance of driving a decent car in a decent competition and be the fastest of them all and the guy that doesn't wreck any car. To get good at driving, either put together some coin and do a couple of courses or just get a cheap car and go to track days with it and try to culminate your driving faults. But dude, your best shot, is to just make good money and race because racing doesn't pay the living costs of almost anyone, much less those who are poor. The only thing that actually pays usually is either WRC, F1 and factory teams on other competitions. More times than not, people pay to race, rather than the other way around.
