I had a similar experience the first time I got in the Praga. You don't beleive that the car can do the things it's designed to do and it took time to work up to it. You did got there a hell of a lot quicker than I did tho, I was scared shitless lmao.

It's amazing how you can transmit information and feelings through your videos. I got really scared when the car snapped on that T2. I can't imagine how that felt for you. You did really good on that weekend. Congrats!

Congrats Suellio! SO amazing to see you progress, and also So instructive to hear and watch How you improve times. Awesome! I'm a new subscriber, 71 yrs old, and my racing instruction has only been 1st two classes at The Jim Hall Cart Racing School in California in '95. Hope to at least get 2 or more seconds at most tracks in ACC to at least often be competitive on LFM. Best To You! :)

Amazing progression. I love to see people jumping into racing from simracing. It can be trackdays or races, aslong as you enjoy yourself and know that you achieved that childhood dream. You handled it very well. Get used to the car, the track, the handling, the downforce and the fear. You understand the vehicle dynamics and are coached through the weekend so you can progress. I love the joy you express, it makes you feel alive. Lots of people underestimate the strenght you need to race a car around the track. I am fan. Nice video, nice talk through, great onboards.....keep it coming and have fun.

I was marshalling at turn 2a and turn 10 this weekend and didn’t even realize you were racing! It’s so awesome to see you in the radicals I love those cars. I hope to see you back at mosport in the new year!

This video got me so concentrated and excited about how you were dealing the physical challenges imposed by the car, the fear, confidence build up and pace hunting. Really great content!

Watching your video is making me pretty emotional because someone is so young that you can follow their passion. When I was growing up. I was big into racing, but I had a single mother who couldn't afford a lot of things, and once I started working. There was no buying video games and continuing. It was helping pay bills.

The short time I've been watching your stuff on here, doing your course and reading your book, etc. has been a really fun journey to see you doing things I won't ever be able to enjoy. I am so pleased to be able to see what you've been doing and and the progress you're making on your path while I improve my own sim racing skills. My hat is off to you and I look forward to more great content like this!!!
@saltyitalianguy3243 Жыл бұрын
honestly i applaud the bravery you need to even get into a car like a radical on this track, i've driven 600 laps of mosport on the sim and i just cant imagine having to commit to those corners in real life, especially into turn one and on the exit of turn 5 before the straight you just need to commit so much or you lose so much time. really impressive.
@SuellioAlmeida Жыл бұрын
Thanks man, it is such a crazy experience it's very easy to judge others when you don't get there and try it yourself hahahahha
@saltyitalianguy3243 Жыл бұрын
Honestly every corner on this track is scary in a different way, the braking zone before the last corner is terrifying because you are just coming out of a flat out corner before entering a heavy braking zone, the braking zone before turn 5 is terrifying because the elevation change gives you tons of grip for a split second, dramatically shortening your braking distance, but when you reach the top your rears lose tons of grip and if you accelerate you will spin immediately. on top of that turn 2 is just horrifying because the rear can kick out at any moment if you take it slightly wrong, its just generally a really scary track, also one of my favourites.
@solcharms Жыл бұрын
Found your channel recently. The content is insane. By the way - MOSPORT - no other place on Earth like it. Anyone who has done a lap there never forgets it.

Nice job! My friend drove for Ryspec this year. After the season end he invited some his supporters up to Mosport and took us out for laps in his Radical SR3. I’ve driven around Mosport numerous times myself and have gone for laps as a passenger in some fast cars. But none of those experiences were like what I experienced in the Radical though. Absolutely incredible experience!

@Czeslaw_cn4tv8 ай бұрын
Can I just say how amazing this channel is. It gave me a whole new level of understanding driving since you focus so much on oversteer rotation. Loved your initial feedback on the SR3, having had a 15 minute session in a fully loaded aero kitted Atom 4 a couple of weeks ago it cant be overstated how an open cockpit blasts your senses. Some need to be dulled as much as possible, while others like touch need to find their way into the brain which is just overwhelmed. To me not being able to hear the tyres was the biggest challenge. You're an excpetional driver, I actually bought a full Simagic setup earlier this week to explore driving with the help of your videos. Still need to build the rig, can't wait. Edit: just wanted to add that at our local track there's a corner where the SR3 has a 20kph window in which the corner cannot be taken. Cant imagine the guts it must take to go above the non aero limit.

Wow I almost have a heart attack at min 19. So basically to find the limit is do the opposite as you teach in simracing. Instead of induce oversteer and adjust it with understeer (lifting), lift before and then go for some understeer with caution. Nice technique! I was wondering how to find the limit in real life without crash. I’m sure you will get that seat for the next year season, and I hope to see all your journey here in KZbin! Much love Suellio.

I've raced this track in iRacing a bunch so this was really fun to watch knowing every corner. It's also apparent that running a real car around it is very different. Great work improving by 15 seconds!

I usually watch videos in the background, while doing other things, but I could not take off my eyes now. I could almost feel what you felt, you told your experience so good. Great video Suellio, thanks for posting! You should be really proud of what you were able to accomplish at this event. My most important takeaway from this is how you're focused on always learning more while in the car. That's the only way to focus on mid/long-term improvements and not getting too caught up in the moment! That oversteer moment you had at T2 was super scary. I can relate to that from my real-world racing I started last year and this year on the Nordschleife. I get a bit intimidated and then try to convince myself that it's actually a testament to my feeling for the car and that it should reinforce my confidence, rather than lower it. Would be interesting to hear how you digested it. Looking forward to v2 of The Racing Checklist!

Thank you for sharing this. I've been looking into this series, knowing it's very demanding and now we get an idea of what that really looks like. This car track combo is one of my all time favourites, next to the 944 Turbo Cup and a C6. Next time I go to Mosport, I will sit at Moss. Since I've already sat at 1,2,3,and 4. 4 is nice, you can see a decent amount including T5 and get a good sense of speed, but something seems hilarious about the sensation of cars driving directly at you, only to turn at the last second, blast off up the hill and disappear. It also seems like the most peaceful corner, when cars are at T10 -T2. Apparently, not only did this video confirm things about this series and car, it also confirmed my next spectating position. 😂😂😂😂

as a professional driver and a Sim racer it looks like you're doing OK and soon enough your car won't be fast enough it's part of the going fast lifestyle. Luckily you have a team behind you, but I think soon enough, the car will become slow and you will be trying to squeeze every little tiny bit out of it because they just won't be enough there for you. lol again, part of the fast lifestyle congratulations and thank you for representing sim racers.

I used to race the Radical series in IRacing until they retired the SR8, mainly because the power to weight ratio and handling of the SR8 reminded me a lot of when I used to race shifter karts back in the day. I'd love to get behind the wheel of a real Radical, but at 66 years old, I'm pretty sure my wife would not take kindly to me doing so. 😛 Very jealous, but very happy you got the opportunity to do so yourself though. 😀 Btw, but a fan of IRacing's version of the SR10, so now I race USR2000's. Good luck with your racing career Suellio. 😀
