Radio 270 1966 to 1967

Remember listening to this in Sheffield. Signal was good. Paul Burnett became famous later of course.

I had to use an external antenna to receive the station in the West Midlands.

@@rmiradiomedia9637 why listen to 270? Couldn’t you receive Caroline or London? Was able to listen to both those and others mostly at night, though. Heard 270’s last broadcast and Big L’s too.

In day time being in the West Midlands I needed an external antenna to receive all the off shore stations. Radio Caroline South and Radio London had a strong signal at night. In the day time I could hear the very low power station on the Isle of Man, Manx Radio 232 m.
