My niece was a Rockette for three years I went to see her in 2007. Her cast was chosen to film the Rockette DVD. I am so proud of her and this fabulous tradition.

I have seen Mindy in other Rockette videos and love her! She seems so sweet and fun! I also really appreciate that Julie is such a down-to-earth leader. I've had dance coaches that were borderline tyrants.

Wish I had had that sweetheart of a teacher. Mine was a tyrant. This was back in 1953. Our teacher would stretch us until we screamed in pain. No Moms we’re allowed in. Was gifted in dance and tumbling. Slapping and hitting went on also. At 11 years old I was supposed to be in a group that tried out for the Tokyo Olympics, I am 75 years old and have arthritis in my spine. Just hope that y’all will draw the line when you are hurting. Bless

Our daughter was so brave to try out at least three times she even did the intense program in Philadelphia. We didn't have a lot of money and she went to audition in New York and Once in Chicago. Her strongest point was tap but they are very tough if your hand is not in the right position during the audition you're out. I remember her crying and we told her you were strong enough to try out not once but three that takes courage. She still cherishes the moments that she auditioned and she has photos that she loves to show her daughter who happens also to be tall and then like her. She was going to try out one more time but she decided after two children and the years of dance had caught up with her. I remember watching the Macy's parade with my grandmother one Thanksgiving morning. My grandmother said see you are tall you could try out to be a Rockette. Our daughter was only 8 years old but she smiled and just start tap dancing all in the kitchen.

This was the ONE thing I wanted to add to my résumé , but at the outset was impossible because I am 5’4”. Well! That was just one dream unfulfilled. I Did dance on and off Broadway and who cares how tall or short I am! At least I had 8.5 wonderful years to do what I love! We do it for the applause, for the look in the little girl or boys f’ace of wonder and inspiration that “I’m gonna DO That Too when I grow up!” Look on their faces. Even the look of, I wonder if I could have,’ on some adults and ‘Damn! She makes it look So EASY! I Can Do THAT!’ That wonderful glazed eyed look I STILL get from an EXCELLENT Performance , We know Then, we have DONE our job. You NEVER forget the faces Or the applause. It draws you Back, BACK to the stage. That is the Addiction. The love of the Audience. It’s a drug like no other! I truly believe had I not had an injury, I would still be dancing now, so how, somewhere at age 63.

Keep strong. Dont forget that despite the struggles and madness in this world today, God is full of justice, mercy and love. Justice said we broke His perfect law - causing the world's previous perfection to be destroyed - and therefore we deserve Hell (like a punishment in any legal system but this is eternal as His perfect law is eternal too). Don't think you fit in that category? Ever done one of these?: lying, stealing - regardless of how small the object EVER, hating others - which is murder in God's perfect law, lusting (plus God sees our entire thought life). Justice says "the soul that sins shall die" - if we break one in thought/word/deed it's as if we're guilty of all of them. Quite simply, living by the law (which is doing everything perfectly) is impossible for sinful humans . The law shows us that 1. We will die in Hell if we fail to follow it and 2. We cannot save ourselves BUT, 3. God's perfect, immovable law points us to Christ, who followed and fulfilled the law in thought, word and deed perfectly in our place. He did what we couldn't and did it on our behalf. He was then sentenced to death on a cross, and took our personal punishment for our sin, paying our penalty (like paying our fine) completely FOR us, and has given us freedom. If we turn from the sins we have committed and repent (pursue the opposite direction of love through Christ) He will, overtime, recreate us back into that previously perfect image through The Holy Spirit which Jesus sends to all who accept Him as their personal Lord and Savior of their life. He will help us through the struggle, the stress, and anything we experience in the world. It's about letting Christ in to guide and teach you and obeying Him through His power (not ourselves, we need Him to help us as it's impossible without depending on His power and instruction). He is our substitute in His life, death and resurrection. He essentially rewrote history in our place so that, if you believe in Him, it will be as if you had never sinned if you accept Christ's death as our own in our place. He is in Heaven right now preparing a place for us so that He can take His faithful, believing children home with Him when He returns. He will ressurrect us from death when He returns, giving mercy to those who accept His love, instruction and teachings in their life, and give justice to those who refuse it. He doesn't want ANY of us to go to Hell and die for continuing in evil and rejecting His way to life, thats why He died FOR us. Hes giving EVERYONE a chance, He wants everyone to take the free gift of salvation from Hell. He wants us to be His and begin to follow His life of love and service through His power and abiding (staying) with Him. So long as we keep our hearts near to Christ through His strength, strive to follow His will of perfect love revealed in the Bible, and let Him lead in the midst of (very certain) pitfalls and struggles, we will, in time, win the ultimate victory over sin, pain and DEATH through Christ. Even if you are willing to be made willing, pray for Jesus to come in and He will do what we can't. Give us The Holy Spirit who will guide us in the right way. Christ says in John 16:33: I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have [perfect] peace. In the world you have tribulation and distress and suffering, but be courageous [be confident, be undaunted, be filled with joy]; I have overcome the world.” [My conquest is accomplished, My victory abiding.] - (AMPLIFIED version) NOTE: You are NEVER too sinful or messed up that God cannot turn your life around through Jesus. EVER. Regardless of what you've done or what you're going through you CAN make it through Jesus. X

This video is evidence of artistic theft. BEFORE performers are allowed to audition at RCMH, they are required to sign away - without any compensation - even if not hired - all usage rights to the video of the audition, globally and perpetuity. RCHM has acquired, free of cost, the rights to exploit the work and performance at these auditions by talented artists, most of whom have spent tens of thousands of dollars a year, for many years, perfecting their craft. How do I know this with such certainty? Unlike most of the job applicants auditioning at RCMH, I have 70 years of experience in business. I actually read and understand legal documents, including those handed out at auditions. When I was invited to audition for the role of Santa at their holiday show, I was given a release that was quite specific that I was allowing them, without any compensation, the right to use a video of my audition in anyway they wished. It specified they might edit or change my audition and use the materials from this job application for their own commercial purpose, even if I was not compensated for that usage. I told them exactly what I thought of their greedy exploitive crap and walked out. I have a satisfying career as a Santa and as an actor on stage, film, videos and commercials. I'm not giving up anything (especially my pride) to work for people who would do that to other performers. I am not all surprised to see them exploiting these vulnerable artists here in this promotional video for RCMH and MSG (their mutlti-billion dollar parent company) . When will the next episode be published - and on what television network - complete with commercials, earning RCMH hundreds of thousand of dollars per showing? Shame on you greedy, exploitive Radio City Music Hall.

Very happy they are able to do a live show this year! But -- what is with wearing masks some of the time, and not others? Really, this kind of activity -- they all need to be vaccinated and maybe tested weekly or something, but, the masks are pointless if taken on and off, and, that kind of exertion, it doesn't even make sense to wear them.
@trekadouble757
@trekadouble757 2 жыл бұрын
Please read my comment to the end, it is very important. First off, vaccines do not stop spreading. This has been recognised by the french president himself during this speech this week. A french doctor named Martin Blachier, who has been appearing in mainstream medias for months, has admitted recently that it is the vaccinated people who are currently contaminating the unvaccinated ones, because they are not tested. Second off, most of them are young and healthy and have nothing to worry about covid. The official french national report regarding the work done in the hospitals has proved that covid is more selective than the flu, it means that there are less severe cases of covid in the young and healthy population than there are severe flu cases in the young and healthy population. Covid targets people with comorbidities more than the flu does, and nobody looses their mind over the flu. Covid represent only 2% of hospitalisations during the year 2020 in France and 5% of emergency patients. This is an official report. Third off, the vaccines have side-effects that are no joke. The moderna vaccine has been recognised as potentially negative for people under the age of 30 by 5 northern european countries, Iceland, Norvegia, Finland, Danemark, Sweden, a few weeks backs, and by France too, just this week. This vaccine is known to cause myocarditis in young people and it is particularly dangerous for sportsmen and sportswomen, because sport makes the risk of myocarditis higher. This risk is high enough that the belgian government advises young people who get vaccinated not to do sport during the two weeks following the vaccine. There are also concerns regarding menstrual cycles problems that are yet to be epxlained and studied, and as you said the rockettes are all women. There are been recorded cases of women having their periods after menopausis, there are been cases of young women having really heavy periods, severe pain, and severe fatigue because of their vaccine. Studying every side-effect of a vaccine takes years, this is why we should not push those vaccines on people that are not concerned by covid itself. Fourth off, wearing a mask all the time actually lowers everyone's immunity against common viruses. There is currently an outbreak of bronchiolitis in Europe that is affecting babies severely and threatens to sumberge pediatric services, swiss and french medias have recognised that this outbreak, and the agressive outbreaks of the other hivernal viruses, are caused by the fact that they did not spread last winter because we were social distancing, cleaning our hands all the time and wearing masks. This issue is currently targeting babies severely, and we should really stop protecting the young and healthy that much against coronavirus because it is affecting everyone's immunity against every virus. Basically, forcing the entire population to wear masks, wash their hands all the time, and take an injection that has not yet been thoroughly studied. Protecting the most fragile in one thing, but it shouldn't come at the cost of the young and healthy's health. Testing is a good suggestion, but even vaccinated people have to get tested because they do spread the virus.
