Loved watching this series when first aired. I was probably at that TRW swap meet. Used to go there all the time. Great place for ham stuff as well as test equipment. Thanks for the wonderful memories!

I watched all 5 videos and learned so much! Thanks I really enjoyed it and have a greater respect for designers, engineers, radio program personnels (back in the golden age of radio), Mike Adams, Bruce Westoby (the best!) just to name a few. I've taken note of some models mentioned by Mike Adams throughout the series and will seek them out at future swap meets etc. These videos were and still are very professionally made and needs to be archived in Smithsonian and Library of Congress.

It was a very nice series, I enjoyed it very much. I'm a bit surprized however that there was no report about the big radios I collect from the '50s, 60's. Here in Europe at that time there were made enormous receivers like 80x40x30 in box, but that kind of radios maybe there were not yet interesting enough in 1985 and earlier. On the other hand the best tube receiver ever made was not mentioned, too: the Motorola R-390 HF receiver. Probably because only popupar radios were shown on the series, while R-390 was az army radio, with the one of the best sound quality ever on a radio. But for arousing the interest in radio collecting and listening this series was perfect. Thank you for sharing it.

The average tube radio takes between 20 and 30 seconds to warm up.
