We do actual r/c demo derby in the U.S., but the cars have thin aluminum bodies to show dents and bends. They were originally custom-made by individual drivers, but the sport's growing popularity led to the creation of standard body kits (sedan and station wagon are the only ones I've seen).
@8BWN6 ай бұрын
Some thin metal chassis pans would be cool too. Add a little to the realistic damage. Or cut the plastic chassis apart fore and aft of the bulkheads and screw them back together with a metal strip that can be replaced.

We run figure 8 races with banger cars built out of 2WD short course trucks (Traxxas Slash being most common). The bodies are home built from aluminum. The rules are 7.5 pound weight limit, 2S LiPo 5400mah max battery size. Brushed or brushless motors/esc. Last car running wins. No track marshals, if your car is stuck, on its side or upside down you have two minutes to right it, usually by another car hitting it. If you are knocked off of the track you are done.
