You need an upgraded motor, speed controller, matched battery pack, proper ball an race bearings for every bearing in the driveline. Its 28 years since I did my Escort Cossie Tamiya kit, you might now be able to convert it to RWD (but then it becomes skittish, to say the least!). My Escort was so illegal for R/C events, I wasn't even allowed to enter other cars! Happy days!

You should definately stick a brushless motor and ESC in this.. it’ll go like the real thing.. I have a contact in Middlesbrough that would be happy to help you.. if you look online there’s a detailing type of tape so you can add all the shut lines to the car.. it’ll really make it stand out.. Kyosho 0.4mm micron tape, great job with the body.. just remember next time to remove the protective film.. 🤭

Don't use sharpie on the panel gaps, nobody has a steady enough hand! Get some stickers on ebay, you can get some 0.5mm wide RC stickers that you put around the panel gaps. That's what I use, looks good
