Hey everyone, thank you for all of the support on this project! I will be rolling out a few (maybe boring) videos on my flight controller over the next few weeks to wrap up the documentation for that, so please don't be alarmed. Fun projects like the superheavy booster will ramp up as the weather starts warming up!

Hello Nicholas Rehm, I have also been working on a similar project, (though less advanced than what you've got) and was wondering if you had an email or something which I could contact you and ask some questions! I totally understand if you don't have time, seeing as (I think) you are already working on and doing a masters research project at the University of Maryland!

@NicholasRehm3 жыл бұрын
If you are starting from scratch (no radio or receiver) it will probably be about $500 to get started. You would also need a 3D printer for some of the parts. Do you have any experience building drones? I would recommend to start there first to get a feel for the parts and how to fly! This model is quite a bit more difficult to build and fly than something like a quadcopter. If you need any advice, feel free to email me (link in my channel). Best of luck!

@starshipsn15113 жыл бұрын
Why do you need ANY throttle during the bellyflop? Your flaps are large enough to keep it stable
@NicholasRehm3 жыл бұрын
Its a tiny bit of idle throttle producing negligible forward thrust, mainly to allow for a small amount of roll control in descent from the differential throttle
