Congratulations, Justin, on moving into your newly renovated abode! Now you can FINALLY show off your home to your muttons DJ partner, Vernon A. It has been so exciting for us to work on Justin’s exquisite high-ceiling penthouse, and we hope this home tour will inspire those looking to start their home renovation journey! Props to all the vendors who contributed to this project with us! There wouldn't be such a huge transformation without them! Additionally, we would like to thank Wilson and his team from Rezt+Relax for the amazing and detailed work! If you’re interested to work with Rezt+Relax on your renovation, you can whatsapp 9727 7404 to fix an appointment and let them know you came from this video (by flashing this video/mentioning "Overkill"). Bring along your floor plan to the appointment and you’ll receive a FREE moodboard proposal! A lot of these GetID series seem aimed at homeowners with big budgets, leaning heavily on stuff like fancy carpentry, cool LED setups, and those trendy arches and limewash looks etc. They are great, but kind of repetitive and out of reach for many of us, especially for new homeowners.. How about mixing in some projects that play nice with tighter budgets? Say, showing us how to make a space look luxe for $30,000 to $50,000 without going all out on carpentry (Then again, the question here is, why must focus heavily on carpentry?). And what if we split the series by home type-like BTOs, resales, and landed properties? Budgets can swing a lot between those, and it’d be super helpful to see ideas tailored to each. Just a thought! I think by effectively narrowing and segmenting your series further (by audience), it becomes more relevant and relatable. It might also worth exploring the homeowner's journey in more depth, offering insights tailored to various stages of their experience. Instead of focusing solely on the higher-end market, expanding the series to encompass a broader spectrum of homeowners could add more value-unless, of course, catering exclusively to the upscale market is your business objectives. For example, the situation of a young BTO homeowner fresh out of university, in their early 20s. The prospect of affording a BTO renovation costing between $80,000 and $100,000 can seem really uncomfortable given the lack of spending power. Moreover, it's often the case that their first home won't be their forever home, especially considering the likelihood of selling it after meeting the MOP. This scenario underscores the importance of creating content that resonates with young homeowners navigating these initial stages, perhaps with tighter budgets. I believe this approach not only opens the door for interior designers to innovate within these constraints, potentially leading to more unique and personalised concepts, but it also shines a light on their problem-solving skills. This could be a great way to showcase the strengths of your interior designers if that's also one of your goals in the collaboration. Just a side note, I'm not entirely sure about the specific objectives and goals for your business, but I believe introducing more variety into the renovation series could be beneficial. Over time, it seems the series has a tendency to emphasise similar features, such as smart switches and LED lights, which are good-to-know. Diversifying the content might not only refresh the series but also better capture the wide range of interests and needs among your audience.

Appreciate your comment but these series are a nightmare to produce, with a lot of moving parts and often a 3-6 months duration of management plus ultimately, the owner of the house has to like the design. It’s not as simple as picking a random house and getting it done, there’s a lot factors in play! We are involved from the very start of discussion to the very end part of shooting and editing, we don’t just pick a random house to feature haha But yes, I get that you all want variety with all sorts of different budget, but juggling that with owner’s preference can be really hard! That being said, I’m excited to show you guys my house at the end of the year, because I deliberately reduced the use of carpentry! 🪚 so look forward to that!

@@overkillsingapore i don't quite think that is what OP meant. essentially, op is saying it would be nice if there could be a series where the budget is smaller (see: more relatable) instead of more 'high end', as are the ones that often appears in your series. that being said, one follows the other - if your clientele is higher end, their budget would naturally be higher. however it may not be easy to find young homeowners who can commit the 3-6 months process :)

@@ernestlow204 we do have a room series coming! Which means a makeover or reno for rooms under $5k - we are gonna pilot that soon and see if people like it! If yes then we will continue with that series and even come up with a styling series!

The projects we did w them were good. Till today everyone that walks into my office thinks it’s beautiful and it was done with lemonfridge! I still standby them but I’m not gonna expect every project they do is gonna be perfect. I’m sorry you had a bad experience but like I cannot invalidate your bad experience, u shouldn’t invalidate my good experience too The projects we featured on our video is exactly what you see. And we also let our guest be very transparent and honest about the hiccups they faced. I hope your comment isn’t coming from an angle that you are blaming us for showing you what we had done w them, ultimately you have to do your research and make sure you find someone that understands what you want and able to communicate with you effectively. All we doing here is just to show you what we had done with our guests, ID and vendors, you then can make your own informed research and make best use of the offers we have to aid you with your renovation journey!
