Some device has a floating ground, when you plug your device into your auxiliary socket it makes a charging electric noise effect in your radio speaker!
Required material:
3.5 mm audio socket
Cable
cd silence duramecho.com/M...
For those who are less knowledgeable, I advise you not to charge your device if it is connected to the auxiliary jack

He is using the cd player output lanes(that go from cd player to the built-in amp) as the sound input. Connect two colored wires from the aux to output(or out pins on the board) and the black to ground. To play music put the stereo in cd mode. If the sound is reversed(right and left) just invert the colored wires.

Pause at 3:22 Bottom two pins are ground. Third pin (from bottom going up) is left output (wire green auxiliary to this pin) Next pin is another ground. Fifth pin from bottom is Left audio output. Wire red auxiliary wire to this pin. Wire black or unshielded wire to ground. I have same deck, but no labels like in this video. So this video helped me identify the cd player output pins.

Summary: Remove lid or skin. Remove CD or Tape element in radio temporarily. While extracted, identify the L-OUT, R-OUT, and GND pins. --These are the Left Output signal, the Right Output signal, and a common Ground Return used with both the Right and Left signals as the common return. Solder a 3-pin stereo jack its wire assembly to the L-OUT, R-OUT, and GRND pins. (Before soldering, route the wire in through one of existing cooling holes, or through the side holes. Enlarge a hole with a reamer if necessary. After soldering, re-assemble. Connect your audio device (for instance phone with headphone jack (e.g. a Right, Left, and Ground signals in the headphone jack) to the soldered in new jack. IN ORDER TO PLAY the phone, you must insert a CD that has been burned with a long (1 hour) track of silence. e.g. without the modificaiton, if you played this CD, you would hear nothing when the CD function was selected. With the modification, since the CD unit itself plays nothing to the L-OUT, R-OUT, and GND, then your phone instead can drive the signals, and drives them into the radio's internal amplifier. These in turn come out the normal speaker outputs, or go to the normal external amplifier outputs. Thus to play on your iPhone or Android phone with headphone jack, you select the CD function on your CD player, (or you can use the TAPE function outputs instead). CD is better because it does not wear out. If you have a multidisc CD player, then you select the blank CD to listen to your phone instead. This is good for one hour. Typical player will then play the next CD in the multi-player. So then you need to go back. On a single CD player, the player will auto-repeat the one blank CD. This is a reasonable solution and workaround. On some radio's one can mount the soldered jack to the front faceplate of the radio (if you have space on that faceplate). That allows the jack to be right on the radio faceplate.

I'm a little confused here, if I put it in a single CD player, it will pause my device after an hour because of the blank cd?

@@AntonioBanderasTheKing Playing over the Audio In jack being added in is a "trick" to some extent. 1. Physically add the jack, and solder onto the output pins. 2. On some units, their is a "pre-output amplifier" that takes the L-OUT, R-OUT, and GND signals, and amplifies them before they come out the back of the radio. For these types of units, you also need to make sure that nothing else in the CD/Radio/Tape deck is attempting to driver L-OUR, R-OUT. The "trick" to make sure that nothing from the tape/radio/CD attempts to drive the L-OUT, R-OUT signals, (so that when your iphone is driving them, it is driving them alone) is to select the CD in your players, and then "play" a black CD. This drives nothing on the L-OUT R-OUT lines, leaving tho only device driving L-OUT and R-OUT to be the audio jack you have added. The downside to using the CD, is that when the CD is "done", a player will move on to the next CD (if you have a multi-CD player.) If you have a single CD only player, then some players will just repeat again, while others may switch back to the radio and start driving the radio signal. (Just select CD again....) But that downside is that the guaranteed "no competition quiet" is only guaranteed for the length of the blank CD. You mileage may vary depending on your unit.

@@davidoshea2113 I see,, Thank you. I am in way over my head because I bought a unit that is very difficult to take apart compared to the rest. The 1factoryradio doesn't even have an aux with that specific radio I bought. The cassette with aux works but it's a pain in the ass because it's constantly seeking in between songs. I got a 6W7T-18C868-AA and I can't even find the L and R lines on the cd player. I saw other units were able to pull out the cassette / cd player as one piece. These are separate pieces with a ribbon cable holding the cd player in place. I looked at the back of the faceplate and there really is no space to even put an aux jack on it without cutting the PCB board. I don't have a 6 cd player. I am wondering if the *FRDW-AUX* plug/adapter would be a better idea than soldering onto the board for this. What is your opinion on that adapter?

I have same stereo. But the output pins arent labeled like yours. I connected my mod to the Hitachi chipset output pins on the tape deck control circuit board. (the little circuit board that the tape deck motor wires to; because my tape deck squeals like a pig i disconnected the electric motor and physically removed it. You can download the datasheet for the Hitachi chip to identify the left and right output pins) note when motor is removed manually turn the gears/tape ejection tray so its in the on position. It will display a mechanical error in tape mode, but will work. I didn't want to delete my CD player using the method in this video.

If you didn't understand what he was doing, you have no business opening electronic with intent to soldier three connections onto a well labeled board. Get yourself a basic understanding of electronics instead of complaining that someone didn't walk you through every step of it like they were teaching a child.

@@NucleaireQc Nice Video, Question: Did I see it correctly that you soldered 3 wires total? 2 were ground and 1 was output Correct? If I wire it the same way you did, I shouldn't have a ground loop interference. Or any issues with charging.

Yes. Red is left speaker channel.. green is right speaker channel. Once you have connections working Seach on KZbin for left right speaker test to verify correct wiring. Switch wires around if you hear sound from wrong speaker in the test audio
