The Radio Rats are a South African rock group first formed in 1977 in Springs, Gauteng, by Jonathan Handley (guitar and background vocals), Dave Davies (lead vocals) and Herbie Parkin (bass) with Leonard Dixon (drums). "Cyanide Lake" is from the forthcoming album of the same name and features Jonathan, Dave, Herbie and Leonard together again. "The Rats", as they are known colloquially, are perhaps best-remembered for their 1979 hit, "ZX Dan" from their debut LP "Into the Night We Slide". The album immediately created a stir, in particular its kick-off single, "ZX Dan", which peaked at no. 2 on Radio 5 (now called "5FM"). It was kept off the number one position by Michael Jackson.
