I dont see it on radiowavz yet.....Cant wait for this to be available

My first reaction was how can I make one myself? After all it's "just wire". Good idea to run it up a pole though. Sometimes I run an EFHW antenna up the fishing pole, winding it hellically. Gives great performance.

I have seen Emit wind antennas on mast many times and made contacts. Thank you for sharing.

I realize now that I watched this be recorded 🤣Nice.

I have purchased a couple of their products over the years and they are still working well for me…. No sign of deterioration. Wire, baluns, CMC, etc. So they seem to hold up in northern Michigan weather.

not been able to find this antenna on their website as of today Jun 1

So I get it’s ocf … I take it the long wire goes into the hot side of the tuner and the shorter wire to the ground of the tuner. I’m a bit confused as to the purpose of the third wire? Oh hang on that doesn’t make sense? I think I need to see a diagram. I’ve checked their website and these antennas aren’t on there yet.

There's really only 2 wires. The ground wire is folded back at a certain point and is the middle "3rd" wire, or the other half of the dipole. I'm going to do another video on it soon so it should make more sense to all of us.

Up and Out of the BALUN or TUNER comes a 2 parallel wire feedline. This "feedline" continues until the off center point. Thats when the antenna actually starts. Then its a dipole with 1 wire (the long one) further up and another wire (the shorter) down. This can be done with twin lead , ladder or window line to the off center point and then just a wire dipole from there. He just chose to use plastic separators to make a feedine from two parallel wires.

I wonder how much they will sell it for if at all,theres nothing on their site at all about it

That a great idea . i was wondering about Offset center fed dipole antenna in a veritable setup. love how the long version can do 160 meter. giving me ideas of parks on the air . 160 meter contacts . I have a offset center in my go kit but it is 80 meters threw 6 meters. I can get the long one of the OCFD voyager 3 . I love how small it breaks down to. will just slip right in my backpack . 73's

I don't think they've put it on the website yet.

So if you have a turner that is NOT a outside turner, to hook the antenna to their balan and then take the coax from the other end to the tuner and then the radio?
@Siskiyous6 Жыл бұрын
While I configured it as a dipole, that is exacly what I presented to Callum (DXCommander) when he had his competition a few months ago.

What it is not on thw web site yet Gees how Long is it going to take ? !!!!!!

Yeah I don't know what they're doing with that antenna. I was waiting to review it until it was up for sale and it doesn't look like either of those things are going to happen.

So spiraling the upper section does not affect the tuning? If not, then you could set the coupler at 15' , Then spiral the remaining 31 ft to the top of your 10 m pole creating yourself top band 160 capability on the 33 ft vertical
@hamradiotube Жыл бұрын
Pretty sure they did that because they were inside.

it is not yet for sale on your web site. Any date when it will be?

@@hamradiotube Sorry Mike, I had KZbin paused on the video where it shows RadioWavz and when I went to look back at it a few days later I forgot it was your video. Thanks for clarifying.

Some details lacking, but I guess because of R&D. OCF requires a tuner, radials help.reduxe takeoff angle? What's the difference with a 43 vertical with tuner (and rafials)? Very interested in someone doing a comparison. Cost, features, etc. Good antenna innovation but just have to make sure you know what you're getting de WO8USA🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

A properly implemented OCF Dipole does NOT require a tuner. And does not require radials. Dipoles do not require radials. GREAT presentation and GREAT interview.

@Lee McC KI5YPR it was a question in the remark I wrote....all questions. Just wondering the differences in this configuration and the famous 43 ft vertical. Would like to see someone do the unbox, build, tune, and use. I'd suggest K8MRD or HRCC would help the case, or that N4VFR who has verticals. Good luck de WO8USA🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

I believe the 43 footer you're referring to is bottom fed , and needs radials. Also needs a tuner.
