I also think it's a bit slow but however - beautiful performance.

I'd say Myfanwy is sadder.

That was probably Schubert‘s composing tempo. Would one speak so slowly?

Seine Erklärung: "Maybe this helps as an explanation to my interpretation - Let's go back in time to the 1820's and imagine to walk in deep snow in a forrest. Not many streets were built by that time and shoes were not the best and slippery in compare to nowadays (they were done all by leather). He is insecure and just made the decision to leave the house of his beloved in silent. He avoids the conflict with the father of his love and gives up without fighting because he is from another social class. He knows there is no future for this relationship since he has nothing to give beside his love. In my opinion he can't rush or run due to emotional reasons and also physical circumstances which I tried to describe before. Although it is written "in 2" I hope that describes my personal thoughts about the tempo which I take from the "walking movement" which is played in the left hand."

Super rendition. Yet tempo excessively slow...
@ransomcoates5463 жыл бұрын
Sehr langsam! The protagonist would not make it very far at that tempo.

Shouldn't it be faster?

ilkertenor thank you for answering. You do have a wonderful insight of the piece which is transmitted perfectly into music. I've heard many versions and they are faster. Nevertheless, I must say that this version makes you feel every step melancholically, and a sadder tone which seems to be perfect. This helps a lot for my interpretation of the piece. Once again thank you for answering and for your performance.
