If I didn't watch the race I would've thought the McMurray won with the title and thumbnail.

top 10 a lap down...
@huntersmith17888 жыл бұрын
chris griffin everyone but the top 6 was a lap down so yeah plus the only reason why there were that many people a lap down was because there were a lot of green flag pit stops
@chrisgriffin41838 жыл бұрын
well not only that but like when kyle lapped everyone up to the 8th spot in a race a few weeks ago he did all that with just his speed Toyota has found a lot if speed thus year rater it's the 78 or the 18.

Rightfully upset, so many of these races are a driver "something is wrong, I'm coming to the pit", "don't" and during that next lap, catastrophic failure. Blown tires, spinouts that wreck the car, or, in this case, an exploding engine

Figures Richy-Rich made it. Austin Dillion is whom I'm referring to.
@Dat-Mudkip8 жыл бұрын
*Edit*: Always lovely when people delete their comments.... Yes, but unlike Bill Elliot doesn't own his son's cup team, but he did influence it and certainly gave him multiple boosts that allowed Chase to get to the Sprint Cup Series quicker than if he had done so on his own., Dale Earnhardt never drove directly for his own team (sticking with RCR), and while he did found DEI racing and had an influence in Junior's rise to the Winston Cup Series, Senior still made Junior work for it. Austin Dillion is not directly related to Richard Childress. While Junior and Elliot are both the sons of the respective race car drivers, Austin doesn't even have a direct relationship. Austin's father is Mike Dillion. Mike was did not exactly have a successful career; he only started a single race, when Mike Skinner was injured in 1998. Mike [Dillion] struggled in the race, finishing 11 laps down in 35th place. Aside from subbing for Dale Earnhardt in 1997 Mountain Dew Southern 500 after Dale blacked out on the first lap, Mike had little success in the other two series (his best finish was in a Busch race in Atlanta in 2001; he finished 18th). Mike did serve as Clint Bowyer's spotter for a year or two, but aside from that is only related to the sport in the fact that he is the general manager for RCR. Unlike Dale Jr./Sr. and Bill/Chase Elliot, Austin's dad had very little success in the sport. To be honest, the only reason he's even in a Cup car is because his granddad (Richard Childless) owns the entire team that Austin works for. To say that he didn't pull strings and spend extra money on Dillion's parts that might otherwise have not been so good is pretty bold. Yes, Austin (and even his brother Ty) have both shown to be more successful than there father (in case you wanna know why I say this applies to Ty: he has an ARCA championship under his belt). But unlike Chase or Junior, he lacks respect for other competitors. That's honestly my main problem with him. You have no reason to be racing if you cannot respect at least SOME of your competitors. And there is a difference between respect and racing cleanly, for the record.

Yeah at least Chase is a good racer. The only thing Austin is competing in is Xfinity
@Dat-Mudkip8 жыл бұрын
NASCARRacingFan2015 Junior has multiple championships in the Busch Series, as we used to call it. Bill Elliot has a Winston Cup championship. Chase Elliot won the 2014 Xfinity Championship, which was also his rookie year.
@robr18228 жыл бұрын
Daniel Ashworth Funny how they are both in the round of 12 for the championship....if austin wasnt competing he wouldnt of even made the chase based strictly on points, he was sitting 12th in the points too. Due to said consistency it would of allowed him to qualify for the old way the points were done also.
@Dat-Mudkip8 жыл бұрын
Remember the days when we didn't have this "Round" bullshit? You could afford a mistake or two and still win the championship. (Example: Jimmie Johnson won his first championship in 2006 despite a terrible start to the Chase. He crashed at New Hampshire, and got a DNF in 39th place.Next race at Dover, he finished 13th. The race after that (Kansas) he finished 14th. The race after (Talladega) he finished 24th.) And who cares about the old Winston points system, or even the old Chase system? Not in effect, so we shouldn't worry about it, even if we don't like it.

McMurray and Larson really got the raw end of the deal...Ganassi brought two terrible cars to the race. Dillon didn't deserve to move on and is going to be most likely a gimme elimination next round.
@mrtr4gic-magicthegathering3518 жыл бұрын
I think he did. Dillon did good finishing 8th. I was at the race and every other lap for a bit he seemed to be passing people. He had a fast car and is a good driver. I see Austin Dillon maybe even getting through another round. if you think Mcmurray or larson were gonna finish higher than 8 then your just plain wrong. If their cars did not have any issues McMurray would have most likley finished like 15th and Larson at like 11th. would have been close between Austin and larson. P.S. Im a Joey fan, so no bias

He didn't have to work for his equipment as hard as others have. He had it gifted to him by pops.
