Austin Dillon and Chase Elliott are in the same position but are opposites. Both have had it easy and have had most things given to them. But the difference is for Chase it's always him who needs to improve or its his fault. For Austin it's always someone else's fault. Hell he literally yelled for his grandad in the vid I mean cmon.

Lets see Paul Menard hasnt done anything all year, was nowhere near getting in the chase, he should of been giving positions to Austin & Newman all night trying to help, i get wanting to be competitive, but in a race like this where every position matters, you need to be a team player. Look at Jimmie Johnson at Talladega Spring last year, he was running blocker for Jr to win because JJ was already in the chase, but Jr hadnt gotten a win at that point, he saw the big picture on wanting to get HMS in the show. Also i dont agree with Paul complaining that the kid went 3 wide on a restart, thats what you do, especially when he was only 7 points over McMurray going into Richmond and Jamie had a top 5 car that night. Also find it funny he comments "I'm not helping him anymore", well Paul speaking you havent sniffed a top 5 all year while Austin has run top 5s and top 10s, maybe he should be the one helping you.
@holdenbarnes95598 жыл бұрын
Paul Menard has spent his last 10 or so years driving hand-me-down cars from RCR. He has always been that driver who never gets any publicity whatsoever. If you look at his results over the years though, he's decent. Not great, but not the worst either. Had he been taken on by a team like FRR or hell, even RPM or something, he'd be in a whole different situation. Face it - RCR doesn't give Menard the best gear, nor the best crews.
@adamcheek22448 жыл бұрын
Exactly. I like Menard, I don't particularly like Dillon, and of course RC covers for him. I agree with Menard, AD has been a "whiny little [expletive]" all year. Also, I've never liked how the Dillons pretty much got free rides because of RC.
@robr18228 жыл бұрын
Adam Cheek Hope you hate Dale Jr, Chase Elliott, Kyle Petty, and many others, racing for a family member does not mean they were "given everything" they had to work their way up through each rank and prove they could win, which they have at every level. If you side with Menard in this situation where your teammate it running to get into the championship and you havent a chance to make it, so you're gonna not give him a inch, thats just douche bag. Paul should of been giving Newman and Dillon any spot he had to try and get both cars into the chase, most teams try and do that when coming to Richmond.
@adamcheek22448 жыл бұрын
+Rob Rae I mean I understand that and all, I don't hate those guys, I'm just saying that two brothers getting rides like that kinda gets on my nerves a little bit. AD can be whiny, as seen in other Radioactives, but I know that people like Dale, Chase and Kyle got their rides through family ties. Dillon was pretty much solidly in though, and Newman had a very slim chance even if Menard gave him a spot because the 1 had a great night. In short, I understand what you're saying about familial ties opening doors for drivers, I just don't happen to like the Dillons. No offense intended.

I'm soo sick of people who keep saying Chase and Austin has it easy and had everything handed to them on a silver platter. All of you who say are idiots, I'm not even sorry for saying that because it's true..Both Chase and Austin weren't handed anything they worked their asses off to get to where they are. They worked themselves through the ranks in each series and have both been successful. And what the hell was Denny doing? Why did he throw that water bottle at Kyle Larson's car and flip him off? Why did people think that incident with Chase Elliott Jeff's fault? It was Newman's fault for getting into Jeff.
@zekemorales8 жыл бұрын
Denny was just messing with him, they are good friends.
@SmashGuyROA8 жыл бұрын
It's kind of true that Chase and Austin have it easy. I have been following Cole Whitt since his USAC days and I can promise you that kid would run circles around them if he had legitimate equipment. Apparently the only thing Cole Whitt is missing is the right surname which isn't fair.
@ShereeAshleyArend8 жыл бұрын
Really? How does Chase and Austin have it easy? They weren't handed their rides on a silver platter, Chase was hand picked by Hendrick/Jeff Gordon to drive the 24..plus he was a Hendrick developmental driver since he was a young teenager. And what does Cole Whitt have to do with any of this? We're talking about Chase and Austin who worked their way up to the cup series. And I highly doubt Cole would drive circles around either of them if he was in better equipment. So working their way up through the ranks and earning their rides with big name teams is unfair to everyone else?
