I feel your pain Mike; my wife has had 3 back surgeries this year and while watching your love go though hard recovery is bad enough, under the background of uncertainty and freedom restrictions of a COVID world life can be unbearable. It also takes away all your energy you need for game development. On the positive side Hayley you look and sound great and I hope you're feeling as good. Mike those ambient sounds are -awesome- and I loved your livestream about sound so much I have it filed for reference when I need to do my own sound work. The stethoscope mic is a great idea and I will watch Akash's video for more. FYI I would watch any sound design video you do so would be thrilled if you made another one.

There's something off about the run animations. Would be cool to see one of the animations in isolation to see where the issue is. Maybe one of the key frames is off?

Yeah, sound is definitely one of those things that all too often goes way undervalued and unappreciated. Unless it's gone. When it's gone then people are finally like "oh". Bit of a struggle for a sound designer to get the respect they deserve though sometimes, as the only way to get noticed is generally to just...not do your job lol. Or at least be really bad at it. When a sound designer does a fantastic job, rarely does anybody mention or put any real focus on it.

Do you use eg. cloud services to backup your projects?

Yeah we've got a Nas setup for storage, two drives that mirror that locally and then that all updates to cloud daily
