It would be nice to have a test which showed if there were any dropouts. Another test might be to set the RX failsafe to turn on an aux channel connected to a beeper.

That's a great idea! I'm use to having access to packet losses showing on the screen but don't think this radio provides this.

I also have the same radio and it's never let me down yet. I had a V2 but got the V3 so I can program a switch and switch my steering dual rate from a small turning circle to turn the car to a large one for high speed runs. To come back on topic, V3 has a great range 😊

The next test I would put it on a stand so you can hit the throttle also make sure to lock it to the stand but over all good test and should do this with other radios and have the same surroundings to what's people do drive around to give a real world scenario this is always helpful video even for cheap stock radio's so people understand what's possible with there's. Keep up great work and have a wonderful day.

I was going to mention the trees but you're on it. Also, I did a test on the V2 about radio interference. I wonder what is your take on it. You're more knowledgeable than me in this field. I hypothesize I that with any 2.4ghz remote you can have signals crossed and your car will not respond properly. That's my main issue when speed running in certain areas. I found that places that has transformers emitt a wavelength that disrupts the radio signal. Can be found in large stadium parking lots, mall parking lots. That if you're not within a certain range of the receiver you will undoubtedly lose control. That's what I would like to see.
@RCexplained2 жыл бұрын
That's true! many factors can contribute to this type of interference.

It's not just the radio, it's also the number of batteries and the receiver model that defines the max range of this radio family (you can expect the same range with a RC4GS) ... for the 600m range, you need 6 AA (though not sure the 4 AA tray is still available) and a R7FG receiver, with the more common R6FG receiver, the range is about 400m.

I'm currently running off of a 2s Li-ion. There is no spec stating voltage changes radio range.

ive tried to get others to show me 1 thing that their 700 dollar radio could do that my radiolink can't yet to get one straight answer lol

Packet Losses is what I miss seeing. I haven't looked hard enough to determine if I can set a throttle delay. Would also be nice to get the castle telemetry on the radio. Not sure if this is possible either.

So, and this is not a controversial comment ha, I use the dumboRC. Really like it for my big rigs because of how good the range is. I’ve heard it is an older radiolink rebranded etc. Thoughts?
@andyroo8uk6852 жыл бұрын
That's what I heard but for 30uk pound to get a 500m range can't be beaten on price this radiolink in video is 2x maybe 3x the amount of a dumborc
@thejeepinrealtor57422 жыл бұрын
@@andyroo8uk685 agree. Those receivers tho! Ha. I don’t have good eyesight. So I’d never really need the range of any of these. I just hope that the longer the range the less likely the odds of black outs at shorter range. I realize this logic may be 100% faulty 🤣 I do wish I’d started out buying a nicer transmitter and trying to score deals on receivers as time goes. My other radio is a flysky gt5. Definitely more perimeters and settings etc but it doesn’t feel nicer in any other way.

@@thejeepinrealtor5742 same to be fair I use my cars maybe 100-200m max but them dumborc has gone up in price I paid 26uk pound maybe a year or so ago now they are 40 pound range

isn't the 600 meter range really 300? The way I had it explained is If you stand in the middle of a circle they say 300 meters in each direction.
@RCexplained2 жыл бұрын
Range is from Transmitter to Receiver. It doesn't make sense to define it any other way.
@reconrc17872 жыл бұрын
@@RCexplained Just going off what the company advised. 300 meters to the left and 300 meters to the right. 600 meters total distance but you (transmitter) has to stay within 300 meters of the receiver.

No, Radiolink has stated that the distance they advertise is from Transmitter to Receiver and vice versa on an open field without RF interference.
