I got one of these recently and noticed they updated the battery with a USB-C port, so that's a pretty nice upgrade

Chuck S I've had this radio for about 4 months and like it a lot. The only weird thing about it is when scanning, the display shows frequencies and not the channel names.

How do you get it to scan saved channels? I can do freqs but not saved channels?
@markj75792 жыл бұрын
I had the same problem and return the radio and they sent a replacement. it scan channels for about 3 days again and then quit doing it. I think it's a problem with the radio.

great radio, easy to use and program, WX, Bluetooth and USB charging make this a great choice

I noticed that when I had the radio plugged into the laptop while programming,, the radio definitely got hot! disconnected it and charged it via USB. created the cps without the radio connected to the laptop. Overall this should be a good workhorse. Thank you for your time on this demo! 73, Ben

I have had this radio for a bit and I really like it for field work I am one who likes the dual ptt features, and the micro usb is pretty nice. The supplied program cable is DANGEROUS it WILL fry the usb port on your computer. It puts the radio into transmit and overheats and grounds out the usb port. But the beofeng one will work. I dislike the computer programming software I wish chirp worked. But it is what it is.

I've had a cable do that too. Kinda scary. Manufacturers' CPSs are basic but at least they work. I really like Chirp's ability to import channels from repeaterbook and pre-defined channels like GMRS and NOAA, etc. Thanks for watching and commenting.

Does anyone know what the CSV format is when using the CSV import function with the CPS?
@GadgetTalk4U2 жыл бұрын
CSV stands for comma separated values. It is one of the save options in Excel.

True, but you still need to know the exact sequence, how null fields are handled and the like. If there was an export function all that could be determined.
