Unironically one of the best radiohead songs ever. I think a lot of their songs (especially in Ok Computer) give you a bittersweet or melancholic vibe but this song just goes out. Almost conveys a mix of emotions: like betrayal, anxiety, and some you can’t even explain, like the feeling you get when your given absolutely terrible news. Amazing.

6 years ago my childhood best friend Drew died at the wheel in a car accident. He had a very rough childhood/ was abused. I think the stuff that happened to him as a kid directly correlated to his mental instability/ substance abuse problems/ and subsequent reckless driving as an adult. Right after he passed I kept asking for signs from him in my depressive and delirious mourning state. Then one night a few days after he passed, I fell asleep with random sad/ grunge era songs playing on KZbin because that’s the music we both grew up listening to… until I was abruptly woken up to the loud crescendo of THIS Radiohead song that I had never heard before. The weirdest part, Radiohead was Drew’s favorite band. For that reason, this song will always have a mysterious and otherworldly quality to me. RIP Drew. I hope your stepdad ch0kes for what he did to you ❤️

Criminally underrated Radiohead song. Most songs, like No Surprises or Paranoid Android give me a melancholic feeling in my gut, but this song is just next level. Makes me feel like my parents have disowned me, or all of my friends have admitted to always hating me. Just an awful, awful feeling demonstrated in this song. I love it.

This band, in the span of 3 weeks, made change my whole perspective on being alone, sad and what kind of relationships I want in my life. I'm not in a great state lately.right now I'm listening to this song,silently crying. Maybe I should go outside,to move about, but outside is just too cold for me to summon up the courage. I don't want to drag myself out of bed every day. I don't want to be on the brink but keep finding ways to tell myself it'll get better. I don't want to cry everyday.I've been through this and I don't want it to keep going incessantly.And I don't know why it's like this.Normally I would just ignore my negative thoughts to watch some uplifting things,some revelation, praying to get out of this someday.But now I'm writing my thoughts down to reach out. I keep myself from thinking in a way like"Maybe this world is not for me",so extreme.But it's just so frustrating sometimes that I just want to break down and admit my frustration if that makes any sense..
@dodoubleg1823 жыл бұрын
Feel free to breakdown, it's not weird. Please know that at the end of the day, you're the only one that can save yourself, so do try to force yourself to pickup a hobby or anything that you enjoy that gets you out of the usual boring routine, maybe try fitness. Don't think about it, just go wild and worry about the problems after, those problems will take your mind off of the negative thoughts. One step at a time is the name of the game here. Now go on, put down the phone and go, I sincerely hope you get through this small, shitty portion of your life alive and well, whoever you are. Godspeed :)
