this version sounds more classic. it gives a more natural feel to this song.. im not too fond of early/demo version of songs, but this one is by far the one i feel pleased to listen to, at least. the piano at the end is such a nice detail in this version overall.

@@stephenhawking9781 I know it's not unusual for them. I was just surprised to see that one in particular. I can't imagine what the early version sounded like. I believe Thom was performing "True Love Waits" in The Bends era and that didn't make it onto a record until A Moon Shaped Pool. I recall you do get to see part of a live performance of Nude during the Ok Computer tour in the documentary "Meeting People is Easy".

It's always interesting seeing it change as their emotional headspace and music influences change, like True Love Waits turning from a warm acoustic borderline brit pop song into a such a cold and ambient track. Also the version of Identikit they played on the TKOL tour, with the key change. I'll never forgive them for getting rid of the key change...

@@gokruzk I'd get killed if I uploaded them so here they are in a drive folder it has rehearsal demos 1-5 from the minidiscs as well as the great 4track demo from the oknotok cassette the minidisc stuff is unfortunately only 192kbs mp3 but that's the absolute best you can get from the minidiscs as they're from the original leak when the band released them on Bandcamp you could download like flac or wav but they actually sounded worse for some reason but anyway here you go let down is probably my favorite song ever and these early versions are great and absolutely worth hearing drive.google.com/drive/folders/1VuDOloO9UFIh06mGKp7-KKtxpAMUS4qm

I used to record stuff on minidisc too when I was in a band in the early 2000s. I've got heaps of discs now but no working minidisc player! I backed up most of it before my minidisc player died though.

yes there are 6 minidisc demos they are just rarely uploaded on youtube here is a folder with them mega.nz/folder/FVg1gCzA#w1LXZ97sQJkEieH-CiSWKQ (here they are called rehearsals instead of numbered but they are the same songs 9.1 is #3 here and #4 is two different ones together that's why there's 6 despite only having 5 rehearsal files and also there is the 4 track demo here is a bonus that was not part of the minidiscs but is another early version)

a couple years ago 16 hours of really great and interesting demo material for ok computer stored on mini discs leaked online (really recommend listening to the mini disc paranoid android I believe it's on youtube) and a bit later the band found out and released it officially for around 20 days I believe on Bandcamp although in lower quality and a few things removed for copyright reasons and then after that time was up they took everything down and ever since the contents have been kinda annoying to find as anything that isn't just like one song from it gets detected and taken down so the only real place to find more than a couple songs now is file sharing services like soulseek
