There's a lot of well deserved praise for Jonny's opening guitar riff with the tremolo, but holy hell does Ed's outro sound absolutely incredible in this performance. It's already such a tasty riff, but it sounds so crisp and perfect here, and it really carries the song to a great conclusion.

After driving 17 hours from Montana, myself and 3 friends pulled into Coachella with no tickets and 15 cases of delicious Montana beer. Thinking we would get arrested or kicked out within minutes for trying to sell the massive amount of alcohol, we weren't. Instead, within 3 hours I'd sold all the beer, had a ticket for both days, and $400 in my pocket. To say the show was amazing is an understatement. I was only 21 at this show, but I had already seen some of the best live bands in the world including Pearl Jam, Neil Young, Beck, Phish, Beastie Boys, the Rolling Stones, and a lot more. However, during this entire show I didn't clap once. I stood there with my jaw open and cried. I'd heard of people crying at Radiohead shows but I always figured they were just being dramatic. Nope. No drama involved. Just an unexplainable energy combined with a stage presence unlike anyone else. The coolest part? A few days before Coachella Radiohead was doing a show in LA. Halfway through the show, they had to stop because Thom's throat was in pain. He went to the doctor and was notified he had voice nodules. The doctor told him he needed to take a vocal rest. Thom replied that he was headlining Coachella and asked the doctor what might happen if he played in just a few days. The doctor responded by telling him he might permanently lose his voice. Thom, being a massive Pixies fan, couldn't turn down the opportunity to follow playing the Pixies after their 9 year reunion show. So he said fuck it, and did it anyway. We knew all this gong in and were wondering..."Will he lose his voice forever tonight!?" He didn't. However, he does make a nice nod to the Pixies as you can see in this video :) I am now 38, have traveled to 30+ countries, seen a lot in my life. No other performance I've seen tops this show. Creativity and passion at it's absolute finest!

At some point you can see a chunk of another song: Ed playing the guitar which he normally uses for Myxomatosis. I think he uses it for All I Need too. But this was before In Rainbows. This video is taken from a Coachella dvd compilation, which I have. Same mistake on that video too.
@Greenplastics4 жыл бұрын
Apart from the bit where Ed is playing the other guitar, probably taken from Myxomatosis, I've also noticed that in some chunks of video Jonny is playing the Fender Starcaster, instead of the Telecaster. That seems to be taken from I Might Be Wrong, judging by the way he's playing it.

He does lots of ambient sounds with his guitar and his many pedals. Details which most people won't notice. He can create all sorts of weird sounds, which you might think that they were done with synths. Up to OK Computer he was mostly doing normal guitar stuff. Not many solos, but plenty of riffs, arpeggios and rhythm. You should check out the beauty of the part he plays on Exit Music. It's not easy to find a video where you can see him properly and understand what he's doing.
