Best song I’ve heard in the past 30 years! My ex-girlfriend just lost her 31 year old daughter to cancer that ravaged her body in less than 10 days. Her baby is 7 months old. From now on when I hear this song I will think of her, her baby and her mother and hope they all reunite someday! Can’t believe how beautiful and meaningful this song is and trust me, I’ve never said that about any song before!

No one gets it but this song explaines the importance of build. It is sad but is also happy and explaines the goodness of rebuilding which is why the song is called Reckoner. you can build your own thoughts to it but this song is here for a great purpose. Album 7 from the yr 2007 what a weird way to look at the time stamp of this song.

This was an intentional way of composing using the golden ratio or golden number which is 1,618. In Rainbows album is 42m 34s, or 2554 seconds long. 2554/1.618 (the golden ratio) is the 1578th or so second of the album, which is 2m49s into Reckoner, precisely when the strings come in with the album title.

I always thought the line was "Because we separate the ripples on a plane." I like that line much better. Every soul is just a ripple on the surface of a pool of water. We think of ourselves as individuals in the way we think of each ripple as separate from the rest, but really we are each just interesting local features of a contiguous plane of consciousness, much like disturbances on a surface of water. In realizing this we attain to the Brahman conception.

Depends on where you look. It's like in Bodysnatchers where some people think it's "I'm a lie" and some people think it's "I'm alive". Most sources will tell you "Black shore" but I think blank shore sounds much prettier
